"Corruption" is the cudgel with which political elites are kept inline. First incentivize corruption by providing protection from media and judiciary during the "same-page" days, and then grill them for the same in its aftermath.
Maulana Fazal Rehman son Asad Mehmood may like face corruption charges in the Pakistan Post department. Besides, financial misdoings, he has illegally appointed scores of people in violation of the rules and procedures in Pak Post.. Enquiry is under process; heard from a reliable source. However, Maulana seems to pass the bridge smoothly.

PAKISTAN: Responding to the conviction and ten-year imprisonment of Imaan Mazari-Hazir and Hadi Ali Chattha today by the Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad, Yasmine Ahmed, Senior Director for Regional Human Rights Impact at Amnesty International, said:
“These convictions are an indictment of Pakistan’s justice system. This was not just Imaan and Hadi on trial, it was a test of the judiciary’s ability to uphold the principles of justice and the right to fair trial. It has failed that test miserably. It is clear that these ‘anti-terrorism’ charges are being used to punish Imaan and Hadi for their human rights advocacy.”

For the past few hours, we have been receiving deeply concerning reports circulating on social media that my aunt, @Noreen_KhanPK Noreen Niazi, has been admitted to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology.
Our family was never informed.
We are now standing outside her ward trying to establish her medical condition. The ward door has been chained shut, with police preventing us, her own family, from entering or seeing her.
We are extremely concerned for her health and wellbeing.
My aunt has already endured more than a month in detention, isolated from her family. Now, even in hospital, we are being denied access to her.
What is her medical condition? Why was her family not informed? On whose orders are we being prevented from seeing her?
We demand immediate access to my aunt, a full medical update from her treating doctors, and assurances that she is receiving all necessary medical care.

So this removal of barricade led to the conviction of Iman Mazari and her Husband under anti-terrorism laws and both were given 10-year sentence each. This will certainly improve Pakistan's global ranking in justice index!
