$UMAC building an empire
An article just dropped on "The Information" regarding $UMAC's acquisition of Upgrade Energy.
It appears that UE's customers include Neros, Anduril, and $AVAV. The article also indicates Upgrade Energy sells to Perennial Autonomy, another Drone Gauntlet standout.
Looking like an excellent acquisition, and concerns about having overpaid are likely to be put to rest within a few Qs.
Congrats @evansall and team!

I was talking with @HenryInvests this morning about the market's concerns around debt funding the AI buildout. I literally called it Finance 101 that these companies should be using debt to lever their equity returns. The market is freaking out about one of the most basic tenets of finance.
Goldman posted this note about $CRWV this morning, sounds like we weren't the only ones to notice the obvious!

Replying to @evansall
@evansall as a top 3 shareholder in $UMAC, you have our permission @Rebellionaire to order the equipment for the future automated lines today
At $4M/line - why not order 4 right now ($16M) so they are at your door in 4-6 months or however long it takes? Let them sit in a warehouse if you don't yet have the space - at least they are then in the country and ready to be deployed when able.
We understand proof of concept on the first line is important, but we are also okay with a $16M mistake in the pursuit of something much greater - absolute dominating scale in this market vaccum.
Just a thought, we know you're cooking like crazy over there 🧑🍳💜

I just called Clear+ to cancel my membership after the free trail and got to talk to their AI voice agent. My mind is blown!
I’m sure we’ve all had those frustrating experiences where you’re on the phone for 30+ minutes getting transferred around.
My experience today couldn’t be have been more different. It was like being on the phone with the best possible customer service rep of all time. Fast & easy. Every company needs to be doing this!

Local opposition is becoming a real bottleneck for AI data centers.
Memphis shows why.
On October 20 its city council tied 6-6 on an extended moratorium but passed a 135-day pause on new construction.
Henry's view: if city councils side with the communities, it could be a real risk to the data center build-out.
What do you think?

🔋 It's official. $UMAC has completed its acquisition of Upgrade Energy.
CEO Allan Evans said it best.
“The industrial base is only as strong as the supply chain supporting it.”
Adding U.S. battery manufacturing ➡️ another essential piece of the drone powertrain. 🦅

Is this a bullish or bearish signal, historically speaking? It’s generally been bullish. Let me explain.
I had Claude pull the highest S&P 500 put inflow days over the last 20 years, then grab the average daily put volume for each of those dates over the prior 12 months. I divided the volume on each high-volume day by that trailing average so the data is normalized across different market environments and time periods.
For every one of those days, I then looked at the lowest S&P close over the following 3 months and measured the further drop from the high-volume day to that low (i.e., were the put buyers right, and by how much?). The result is this scatterplot: X-axis is the put volume multiple vs the trailing average, Y-axis is the further decline to the 3-month low. A point on the 0% line means that high-volume put day was the market bottom.
Orange dots are the ones like Friday: high put volume days when the S&P was still within 5% of its highs. Gray dots are high put volume days when the index was already further off its highs. The bands are obviously wide, but based on where Friday sits historically, the extreme put volume doesn’t look like a particularly concerning signal.
Looking further, what would your average return be if you went long the S&P 500 on each of these high put volume dates and sold 3 months later? 5.1%. And that moves up to 6.3% when the S&P 500 is within 5% of its ATH like Friday.
Meanwhile, if you were to buy the S&P 500 on any random day over the last 20 years and hold for 3 months, your average return would’ve been 2.94%. This is materially lower than the 5.1% on high put volume days or 6.3% on high put volume days near index ATHs.
This means that buying the S&P 500 index on days like Friday have historically resulted in over 2x the average expected 3-month returns.
This was helpful and interesting to me so I thought I’d share. I hope others find it useful as well!
S&P 500 $SPX saw the largest put volume day (in $ notional) in history last Friday 🚨
