A sobering fact that is ignored by the Bank of Canada and the Economic Elites of Canada.
The delusion in Canada needs to stop!
The has Canada lagged the United States in population-adjusted employment growth from 2019 to 2024. Canada relied much more heavily on government-sector hiring, while private-sector employment failed to keep pace with its growing working-age population.
Sure let’s hike rates.
Canada added no private sector jobs from 2019 to 2024 — U.S. did the exact opposite nationalpost.com/news/canada…

I think this might be the single most deceptive and ultimately destructive federal budget I have seen in my lifetime.
More than $700 billion in new debt. Interest payments exploding to more than $85 billion per year.
And more than half of this borrowing is being hidden from Canadians.
476 billion being spent “off the books”.
The result of accounting gimmicks and manipulation by this Prime Minister to conceal what is ultimately the largest borrowing binge in Canadian history.
It’s the kind of accounting malpractice that could cost you your license, or even jail time, if tried in the private sector.
And incredibly, despite all this borrowed money, there is almost no help to deal with affordability or the cost-of-living crisis.
Instead, it is being spent on corporate welfare, insider handouts and a massive increase in the state’s involvement in the economy.
And to put that interest cost mentioned previously into perspective? Well, a family of four will literally have to pay $6,000/year in federal taxes just to pay the interest on the federal debt.
A number set to rise to $8,000/year by 2031.
At the same time, the government is also sneakily ramping up immigration to the highest levels in Canadian history.
654,000 new permanent immigrants – the largest in a single year.
Part of Mark Carney’s globalist vision, which he wrote about in his book, to dramatically increase Canada’s population to 100 million people (known as the “Century Initiative”) through mass immigration.
Further depressing wages, while straining an already unaffordable housing market, a collapsing balance sheet, and an overcapacity health care system.
Conservatives will never support reckless deficits that threaten the future fiscal capacity and stability of our country.
And we will oppose mass immigration that will depress wages while making housing less affordable and health care wait times longer than ever before.

The budget was heavy on gender equality, but our immigration system has been anything but. We have nearly 400,000 more men than women in the under-40 cohort
How will @MarkJCarney address this if we're just going to expand PR to give more of them permanent residency?
Ian Tootill retweeted
The Carney government's new immigration figures are them telling you, as clearly as they possibly can, that your simple desire to live in a country with competitive wages, affordable housing and accessible publuc services can get fucked.
Canada is losing ground economically. The global order is shifting and Ottawa seems to be operating as though nothing has fundamentally changed.
I sat down with @DrJStrategy, PhD economist and Chief Market Strategist at @WellingtonAltus, to unpack some uncomfortable realities:
Canada's GDP per capita has fallen.
Business investment per worker is going in the wrong direction.
The productivity gap with the United States is widening.
And the Pax Americana that Canada has relied on since 1945 may be coming to an end.

In its budget, the government has just announced that it will bring 15,000 elderly parents and grandparents each year, under the family reunification program.
That’s 15,000 elderly people a year putting pressure on our hospitals and social services. And they get citizenship, no language test required.
Then they can vote for the politicians who pander to ethnic interests. We are losing our country. Surrey is a foreign nation on our soil.

You didn’t alleviate energy costs driving an affordability crisis caused by green/NetZero policies.
You say you dropped the excise tax? On diesel that’s only 4 cts/l. Meanwhile, the carbon tax you profit from (carbon credits) adds 19 cts/l
What a shameless tweet

No, I think that's why he's doing it. I also don't think he understands why turning Canada into a cultureless, deracinated, no-middle-class economic zone would be a bad thing.
Replying to @TristinHopper
Any thoughts as to why Carney is doing this ? It can’t simply be to artificially juice GDP numbers temporarily, surely he sees the collateral damage and destruction of our youths futures.

What horseshit! Last year, after pledging to cut the budget for ISC by 2%, the Carney government spent $63.9 Billion across all federal departments on indigenous matters. Now, he is throwing more money at indigenous matters over the next ten years. What absolute malfeasance with taxpayer dollars. My God, this is just fucking offensive.

Immigration is basically the only number I pay attention to anymore. Debt is reversible. This isn't.
BREAKING: Canada's Carney’s government has released its 2027–29 immigration plan:
- 380,000 new permanent residents a year
- 370,000 new temporary residents a year (workers and students)
- Up to 348,000 more people already in Canada moved to permanent status through one-time programs
Combined, that could push permanent resident admissions well past the record of about 485,000 set in 2024, per CBC

Who else is looking forward to Trump losing the midterms so Canada's housing crisis, unemployment, inflation and collapsing productivity can all magically disappear?

The Iran War is the greatest political blunder in the last two decades at least. A catastrophically stupid decision. An unforgivable betrayal of America First principles.

This is unbelievably pathetic, dishonest, and cowardly, but it's the angle that the neo cons are taking. Trump launched a pointless and unpopular war. People like this were cheerleaders for it. We told them it would be a disaster and we were right. And now that we've been 100 percent vindicated and proven correct, the very disaster that we warned against and predicted is actually our fault because we failed to "frame the Iran war as necessary." It's not Trump's fault for launching the war. It's not his fault for failing to make a compelling argument for it. It's not the fault of the people who promoted the war and waved their pompoms for it. No it's our fault for not ignoring our own convictions and obediently getting in line with Trump and doing what he tells us. Yes the responsibility to make a persuasive argument for Trump's war falls not on Trump himself or on the war's biggest fans but on the conservative critics of the war. This is so deluded and cultish and backwards that I want to say I'm shocked, but I'm actually not shocked at all. These people will twist an contort themselves into any shape to avoid any and all accountability. Pathetic. Grotesque.
The messaging from conservatives like Matt Walsh over the last 6 months is a major reason the GOP lost control of Congress.
Matt Walsh and co. have the platform to frame the Iran war as one that is necessary, but chose to undercut Trump and help Democrats.
The conflict with Iran is not pointless. Iran had the time, the intent, and the resources to build a nuke. The point of the war is to remove the time and/or resource variables.
Ignoring the nuclear Iran risk would not have made the problem disappear.
Rather, it would have just deferred the issue to the next president—a far less capable commander in chief.
That Trump handle this issue now, rather than leaving a nuclear-threshold Iran for an AOC, Harris, or Newsom administration in 2028, is in our best national interest.
Trump’s “no new wars” stance reflected a preference against open-ended nation-building and wars.
It didn’t mean he’d pretend Iran didn’t have the time, intentions, and resources to create a nuke and kick it to a less capable president in a few years.

Seems pretty clear to me that most Canadians have no interest in waking up. Don't believe me? Try engaging with any of your Liberal-backing friends, neighbours or family members. It's hopeless. They don't want to know.

In British Columbia, I was shocked when David Eby, actually said that EVERYTHING you earn BELONGS to the state, and they DECIDE what you are allowed to keep.
Many politicians don’t say it this plainly, but it is what they truly believe. This is the dark side of human nature that even the Ten Commandments sought to guard against.

Canadians MUST Start Asking Themselves This Question: Are We Better Off Today? Will We Be Tomorrow?
As much as our Governments put on a Pageant that our future is VERY BRIGHT
Canadian GDP & Employment numbers are BAD
When will Canada wake up & realize big changes must happen
