Has anyone ever experienced an ingrown toe nail, and does it hurt as much as they claim?

I used to think that “seek first the Kingdom of God” meant if I followed Jesus, He would give me everything I wanted. Now I realize He gives us something even better. The more I seek Him, the more He transforms my heart. My desires begin to change, and I start wanting the things He wants for me. What once seemed so important fades, and His will becomes my greatest desire. God knows us better than we know ourselves. When we seek Him first, He doesn’t just fulfill our wishes. He shapes our hearts so our deepest desires align with His perfect plan. And that’s where true joy is found.

You cannot follow Christ faithfully while desperately trying to be loved by the world.

There’s no such thing as a “Third Eye” in Christianity. Don’t be deceived by people teaching Christians how to “open” or “activate” a third eye so they can see deeper into the spiritual realm. That is not a biblical teaching. The Bible never tells Christians to open a third eye. It tells us to walk by faith, be led by the Holy Spirit, pray, study God’s Word and grow in discernment. You don’t need secret spiritual knowledge, mystical practices or some hidden eye to get closer to God. We have Jesus. We have the Holy Spirit. We have Scripture. Not everything that sounds spiritual is from God. If a teaching cannot be supported by Scripture, don’t accept it just because someone attaches the name of Jesus to it. Test everything. Hold on to what is good. Christianity is not about unlocking hidden powers. It is about knowing Christ, following Him and being transformed by Him. Don’t be deceived.

One of Satan's goal is to destroy your ability to love people because that's what makes you like Jesus the most. That's why he attacks your forgiveness, your patience and your compassion. Because when you stop loving people, you stop reflecting Jesus. Guard your heart and continue loving

Credit where due. Despite intense pressure, 9 Democratic state legislators in Massachusetts voted against the abortion-up-to-birth bill championed by Governor Maura Healey. Rep. Turco rightly described the bill as barbaric. Even joining with Republicans, the 9 Democrats couldn't defeat the legislation, but at least they stood up to evil and refused to make themselves complicit in it. I know I’ve been posting a lot recently, but as Fr. Richard John Neuhaus used to say, “it’s a target-rich environment” right now. The governor of Massachusetts just signed into law a statute that permits abortion up until the moment of birth, as long as mother and doctor give the go-ahead. Please understand what this means. A fully-formed child, moments before exiting the birth canal, can be eviscerated, chopped into pieces, have its head crushed or skin burned off—all under the full protection of Massachusetts law. What I found particularly gross was the reaction of the entirely female crowd around the female governor of Massachusetts as she signed this barbaric provision into law. They were clapping and cackling with delight because what can only be called infanticide can now be practiced with impunity in their state. I’m old enough to remember when Mario Cuomo, the devoutly Catholic governor of New York, admitted that, though he found abortion personally repugnant, he was, after tortured wrestling with his conscience, willing to give it limited protection of law. How far we have fallen from agonized and conflicted Cuomo to the present governor of Massachusetts and her entourage gleefully applauding the murder of children.
