I'm so excited for the iPhone Duo! I love having these new interface considerations and figuring out how they change making UIs.
If you're interested in the Duo too, check it out in Bitrig!
iPhone Duo support has landed in Bitrig. With interactive 3D simulators, it's the best way to experience Apple's new foldable phone. bitrig.com/blog/bitrig-build…

Xcode 27.2 beta includes a new CLI: xcodeproj
It lets you change build settings, add targets, edit groups… from the command line. Works with the new JSON project format and classic Xcode projects, and uses the same underlying support as Xcode, so edits match what Xcode does.
If you have the beta installed, check it out:
xcrun xcodeproj --help

This is so cool!
We spent a lot of time investigating what project format to use for projects in Bitrig, and there were downsides with all of them. The new JSON format looks like it combines the best of all of these.
We just released an update to Bitrig that adds support for it
SwiftUI supports boolean operations on shapes with .union, .intersection, .subtracting, and more since iOS 17

When we first had the idea for @bitrig in late 2024, conventional wisdom was that LLMs would mean the end of all but the most popular programming languages, like TypeScript and Python.
As someone who devoted over a decade to programming language and API design, I’m glad to see signs of things moving in the opposite direction. There are too many good ideas left to explore for programming to settle into a monoculture.
As a frontend developer, I've always been intimidated by building a backend for the apps I wanted to make. I love how easy Supabase makes it to get everything set up without having to maintain your own server.
Today's release adds Supabase support to Bitrig.
Bitrig can now build apps with your own user accounts, server-side functions, and a relational database.

I had no idea installing direct to the Home Screen like this was even possible until talking with @neeeel and @juandjuwadi at Bitrig Bash during WWDC
WWDC is always such an exciting time of year! Hope I’ll see you all at the hackathon and the Bash.
WWDC26 starts tomorrow! We hope you'll join us at our two big events this week.
Bitrig Hacks begins at 11:00am Wednesday, June 10.

We're so excited to meet you!
One of my favorite things every WWDC is playing with the new APIs to see what's newly possible. That’s the idea behind Bitrig Hacks.
Come spend an afternoon with us building something new with the latest developer betas.
Ready for something new? Join the first ever Bitrig Hacks on Wednesday, June 10th. Explore the newly released developer betas and discover what you can make in an afternoon!
Oh and did we mention it's a competition? 👀

Digging into the Claude Agent SDK and wiring it into Bitrig was a lot of fun! Really excited about what this unlocks for users, and there's so much more we can do with it.
I just posted the final blog post about how the Bitrig Swift Interpreter works, check out the whole series if you're curious!
*Cue epic music*
The trilogy concludes.
In the final chapter of the Bitrig Swift Interpreter series, we reveal how complex expressions are evaluated at runtime and how they connect to real system frameworks. #BuildInPublic

We gave @superbetsy the power of Apple’s on-device Foundation Models… and she used it to build an app that translates GenZ slang for millennials, but is wrong 75% of the time and super duper confident about it.

This is the most insane leap in software creation I've ever seen...
My viral video on building an iOS app with AI is obsolete. I just built a fully native iOS app ON MY PHONE just by chatting. NO Mac. NO Xcode.
What @kylemacomber @jacobx @tdonnelly have built feels like actual magic... ✨ You guys are wizards 🧙

Bitrig just got a makeover! The UI now reflects the iOS 26 Liquid Glass design language, and it's ready to make your apps look just as great. It also incorporates the new Foundation Models, brings support for Sign in with Apple, and fixes a whole bunch of bugs. Check it out now, and don't forget to tell us what you make! apps.apple.com/us/app/bitrig… #Bitrig #Swift #SwiftUI #BuildInPublic

Bitrig is making native iOS app development as easy as a quick chat. And today we’re revealing more about how we did it. Check out Part 2 of our series digging into how Bitrig works. #Swift #SwiftUI #BuildInPublic #Bitrig
