My mind goes crazy at the number of problems a single sensor can solve. For me, this was for reassurance using @home_assistant but when you think how this could be applied elsewhere concierge services to those with memory issues etc.. #smarthome #inclusivity #accessibility #IoT

I’ve hunted high & low for a decent rain sensor. This home-brew solution is very quick to not only detect rainfall, but also when it’s stopped. Saved my bacon many times with the washing outside. In an ideal world my OCD would have me invert both components! ☔️

I recently invested in a beer keg machine 🍻
With some mods, it lives inside a cupboard and connected to a worktop beer tap. The magic happens thanks to @home_assistant!
2023.11 brought the amazing todo lists. I track my kegs and easily add them to the todo list using beer medallion’s. The last item removed from the todo list is set at the current beer and displayed on my wall panels. 🤓🍻🤩

Over two years in the making and boy was it worth it! The team @unfoldedcircle have done an incredible job making Remote Two. I’ve built out pages for our living spaces and have activities + macros cooked up. I can’t wait to see how the software evolves over the coming months!

I can’t compete with @imduffy15’s OralB vid, that was just mint 😂 but I’ve dialled my automations up a few levels by adding @ESPresense room presence to @home_assistant 🥰
I’ve tried a few different solutions over the years but this time the potential use-cases really clicked!
Zones. Tell me you love @home_assistant zones as much as I do!!! Amongst this poorly zoomed map are 60+ zones. Some are for reminders to my favourite rest stops while driving, others are for automatic notifications when travelling by train and the rest for automations more local to home. 🗺️🫶🏼
