Great afternoon of @Amplify CKLA at St. Francis. It’s only right that you end the Kings and Queens domain with a Royal ball and Cinderella screening.

These Boston teachers really get the power of a curriculum that connects ALL aspects of literacy so kids are listening, speaking, reading, and WRITING about the same topic--instead of, e.g., a separate writing curriculum. Highly recommend this whole thread!

Many of us share this story: Our data told us that we had to make a change. Especially when we looked at it carefully. As @mcglynn3 reminded folks in our webinar on shifting from #TCRWP, “Always disaggregate your data.” #CurriculumMatters #CurriculumMattersMA

“Seven years into our existence as a school, and our data had flatlined,” after marginal gains when they opened. “We’re exiting kids at best with 50% on grade level. Our MCAS results – not great.” Their data also fueled the change. Hear from Emily Whitcomb, grade 2–3 DCI:
