Such an incredible compliment. Thank you!!!
Absolutely loving the autumnal feel of CHASING THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN, the latest book by one of my favorite authors. As a nerd for travelogues that combine history and legend, this is right up the spooky covered bridge to my heart. 🎃🔥👻
Joined my son & his friend to see LINKIN PARK: UNSHATTER in ScreenX (it wrapped around 3 walls of the theater). It was phenomenal! The concert footage was great & it was beautiful to watch the band support each other, figuring out how to continue after a founding member's death.
Taking the two biggest LP fans I know (my 15yo son and his friend) to see UNSHATTER this evening. Can't wait!!!
In many places, today is your last chance to see UNSHATTER in theaters. Find a theater near you at unshattermovie.com.
It's my 51st birthday! Every year, though it sounds a bit morbid, I look into which famous people never reached my age. What more would they have created or experienced? 51 may not sound young to me, but I feel young and there's so much to create and experience, so bring it on!

As soon as the shit hits the fan for you in the arts, or it becomes a bit difficult to be 'associated' with you, you find out just how fairweather many artsy 'friendships' are!!
At last night's book signing, a reader showed me a project she did as a high school senior, recording THIRTEEN REASONS WHY onto audio cassettes and putting them in a shoebox (like in the book) along with her report. So cool!
Things I'm looking forward to attending with my son over the next few weeks:
- tonight's booksigning (mine!) at Barnes & Noble in Elk Grove, CA
- @MotleyCrue, @TeslaBand, @ExtremeBand concert (my 3rd time seeing each)
- seeing the @linkinpark documentary (unshattermovie.com)

Some urinal cakes do smell quite yummy, though!

I mean, literally yeah.
I've received this call. And yeah it's scary, but I'd take that call every single day rather than lose someone I love.
In our dark moments, our brains lie to us about how the people who love us will respond.
Give yourself, and them, the chance.

Gone Girl is great. And while I have not read The Silent Patient, its cover is awesome!
