The Tesla Cybertruck order backlog is currently far more than we can make before dismantling the line for Cybercab expansion around June/July next year. We will add an extra shift to try to get all orders done in time.

(The rules of English need to change to put spaces between the em dashes, as they presently too much resemble a hyphenated word, rather than a parenthetical phrase. Also, “—“ is an unpleasantly long a line. The en dash, “–“, is a better length.)

it’s actually insane to think how when elon was 31 he made $180 million from the sale of PayPal and he could have just bought a private island and spent the rest of his life in peace, without having to work another day instead he sacrificed basically everything trying to build the future. failed multiple times, almost went completely broke, but he kept going, spending the last 20 years building reusable rockets, electric cars, global satellite internet, AI, brain interfaces. basically the whole infrastructure for the future of civilization just to end up in a world where people are publicly calling for his execution, and getting applauded for it you don’t even have to like him to realize how completely fucking backwards the world has become

Dumbest move ever! I think SpaceX will quietly get rid of this insane pricing for retail customers who are budget conscious and want consistency. The whole point of saying Bye to Cox, Spectrum and other cable internet providers is because of all these stupid games they played! @elonmusk reverse this move before you get a ton of backlash!
SpaceX has announced that it is introducing dynamic pricing for @Starlink Residential plans in select areas based on supply of capacity and demand from customers. "As our constellation grows and network capacity changes, service pricing may change from time to time. Beginning with your next billing cycle on or after November 30, the monthly price for your Residential service plan will be adjusted to $156/month." It looks like pricing differences are currently limited to a max 20% increase and 20% decrease. SpaceX says: "Given this rapid pace of change, we will be reviewing prices on a regular basis, roughly quarterly."

Back in 2010, the minimum wage was £12,064 and the 'higher earner' band started at £43,875. You only paid 40% tax once you were earning 3.6x the minimum wage. There was clear incentive to progress, learn and aspire for more. As things stand, you now start paying 40% tax once you earn £50,270 which is just 1.83x the minimum wage. If it was the same multiple as 2010, the 'higher earning' band would be £98,841 and everyone below this amount would be paying 20%. Someone on £98,841 is effectively losing out on £9714.20 net per year if the bandings had simply moved in line with previous multiples relative to minimum wage. This is one of the reasons why the middle class is being eroded and why there's a cost of living crisis in the UK.
An increase to £13.20p/h equates to a minimum wage of £27,456, based on a 40 hour week. Once you factor in employers NI and basic pension contributions, the MINIMUM cost to hire a 21 year old for a company would be £31,461. This is before you factor in any overarching business costs like office space, laptops, phone, software, training, support staff, vehicles etc. This is going to be devastating to SME's who cant put together a simple 12 month budget without the goalposts being moved & their margins squeezed. It'll also be catastrophic to youngsters opportunities because businesses will simply not be able to afford to hire them. What's also incredible is that anything above £50,270 is seen as 'high earnings' in the UK and is taxed at 40%! We are governed by financially and economically illiterate morons. This will not end well.

People assume that technology, once seized, will keep operating the same way it did under the engineers who built it. It will not. Those who have never built anything treat technology as lifeless objects that can simply be taken. The moment they do, what they hold is no longer living technology. It is a corpse that begins to rot.

What I love about Tesla is that they don’t need content creators. Content creators need Tesla. They don’t need to invite people with millions of followers when literally someone with 5000 followers on 𝕏 could post something and it could go viral with 25 million views. The algorithm these days doesn’t give AF that you have millions of followers and neither does Tesla. Their products sell themselves and typically they are so viral any random clip has the potential to reach millions of people. Tesla doesn’t want a $50,000 camera and someone with an attitude. They want humble people genuinely excited about the future. I didn’t even get invited to the Roadster event and I was hyped in my living room just watching it. Nothing ever crossed my mind that this is fake or this will never happen. We have self driving cars. We have rockets that land themselves. Why wouldn’t the flying Roadster be possible?

Standard UK mentality. I woke up at 6am yesterday and was buzzing at the fact someone tried to move the world forwards. I looked on the BBC website and there was nothing about it. Only stabbings, banning porn and something about more taxes. The thing is, this is what people obviously want to read. Moan fuel.
This is the BBC’s reporting of the roadster So negative. The UK establishment HATE innovation.

Great news everyone, Sean has cracked the fuel crisis 🤣 Forget EVs, renewable energy and reducing our reliance on oil. The answer was staring us in the face the whole time… A hybrid that still needs petrol 👏 Apparently, doing the first 30-ish miles on a battery solves the problem. There is, admittedly, one tiny flaw in this genius plan… After those 30 miles, it needs fuel. “But if you charge it every night, most people could do their daily driving without using any petrol!” Excellent point. I’ve just invented something even better. A car you charge every night that doesn’t have a petrol engine at all. I’m thinking of calling it an electric vehicle. And this is exactly what happens when we’ve had years of poor education around motoring, EVs and how different powertrains actually work. People have somehow been convinced that relying on a battery for 30 miles is perfectly sensible… But relying on a much bigger battery for 200–300+ miles is apparently a problem. If 30 electric miles covers most of your daily driving, why spend the extra money carrying around a petrol engine, fuel tank and exhaust system for the rare occasion you might need them? Saving 30 miles of petrol is nice. Not needing petrol at all seems like a slightly better solution to a fuel crisis.

RUMOR: Sony is said to have sent out a survey to developers asking them about how they feel regarding ending physical media, suggesting they are considering backtracking on the decision🚀 “There is a survey Sony sent out to developers that is, what I was told by my contacts, a bigger survey than they’ve sent almost ever before. There was a question in it trying to ask in a not-direct way: Is there an issue with not selling games physically, asking developers for feedback on killing discs. Wolverine is still selling plenty of physical copies and Sony is starting to ask devs if they are worried about killing physical, suggesting that if they got a bunch of feedback, maybe they would consider some sort of mea culpa.” WE NEED TO KEEP THE PRESSURE! earn £100k in britain and every pound after it is taxed at 62% until £125k. got a student loan? 71%. in socialism scotland it's 69.5%, or 78.5% with the loan. it's essentially a salary cap. then at £100,001 you lose the 30 free childcare hours and tax free childcare on the spot. not tapered, gone, for every kid. a £25k pay rise across that band puts £9.5k in your pocket, before the nursery bill goes up. so everyone with any sense stashes it in the pension and stops. or drops to four days. or goes to dubai. tell me a more anti productivity policy than that

For anyone else upset about Revelation not being fully on physical media you can contact Square Enix directly here (If you're in the US): support.square-enix-games.co… Yeah, yeah, people will surely chime in with their 2 cents that "it will do nothing" as always, but if you do care about this and prefer to do something instead of nothing at all, this is one way to do so.
