I hope the Forest Library will reconsider the decision to remove their Pride display. What a painful message to send to the LGBTQ+ kids in our community. Queer books are life-changing and life-saving. – at Lynchburg, VA

Teachers! Repeat after me:
I will not have my students make "Indian" feathers/clothes.
I will not culturally appropriate an entire people for "cute" activities.
I will tell my students the truth about this country's relationship with Indigenous people.

#Lynchburg friends, you should check out the Lynchburg Neighborhood Podcast. So far I've listened to this episode & the one with Dr. Owen Cardwell. Both were so good! I'm looking forward to learning even more. Thanks @runningsenorita for the suggestion.
In this conversation, @JohnAbellEcon, Professor of Economics at @randolphcollege, teaches us about food deserts and the history of redlining in Lynchburg. Check it out here: lynchburgneighborhood.com/ep…

Adding descriptions to images is a great way to include everyone in your conversation. These descriptions, aka alt-text, enable folks who use screen readers to interpret images in Tweets. Starting today, you no longer need a setting to add alt text and it's available on 📱 & 💻.
ALT A screenshot of the Tweet composer with an attached image of a green house with a blue sky. The image has a button that is highlighted with a "+ALT" label, to indicate to people the change Twitter has made to the image description flow.
