Buried in the flurry of Executive Orders last night is one that halts all funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
Yes, the law that Republicans and Democrats came together to pass that fixes our roads, modernizes old bridges, and makes drinking water safer.

Why do the billionaires - Musk, Ramaswamy, Trump - want to shut down the government for Christmas? Because they still get paid.
It's our troops, TSA agents and other federal workers who won't get paid. It's their kids who will suffer this Christmas.

Whenever I hear about how Democrats listened too much to the left, I think often about the Loan Shark Prevention Act I worked on that AOC and Bernie introduced into Congress. It would put a 15% cap on payday and credit card loans. When we polled it, it was hugely popular everywhere but especially in red and purple districts. But even faced with these facts, none of the more establishment Democrats wanted to sign on to it.
And now Trump is proposing a 10% cap on credit cards, and if he does it, it'll be a very popular win.
My take is the problem isn't that Democrats got too left. They are just too cowardly, and that cowardice defines too much of the party. When it was less cowardly to take an unpopular 'left' position, they did. But in the majority of cases where there is an option to do nothing with no political downside, the default very often is to do nothing because that is the 'safer' thing to do.

Pennsylvania: Harris down 100,000 with 54% in. However, biggest population areas (Philadelphia + suburbs) are at 40% in. Harris will run up the margins there. PA blue wall is going to hold. #election2024

The Kamala Harris campaign has released a new ad featuring audio from General John Kelly’s interview with the New York Times.
The one minute version of the ad includes audio from former President Trump as well.
Trump, and some of his top current allies, have pushed back hard on the Hitler allegation specifically.
