Bill Maher and Coleman Hughes finish each other's sentences for 3 minutes straight as they lay out how teachers' unions wrecked public education.
The MS NOW host thought she could sit this one out quietly. Then Maher turned and lobbed a grenade right at her.
MAHER: "The reason why they don't know that socialism didn't work... is because NOBODY taught them in school."
HUGHES: "A lot of kids go to underperforming public schools, which is our euphemism for government-funded daycare centers with occasional school-like activities."
MAHER: "I knew they weren't learning anything, but like you said, it's like a daycare center and not a good one."
HUGHES: "And I think people on the left want to blame funding because that's the easy issue. But the truth is, this school was well funded. You know, it's 50,000 per pupil at this school. The problem isn't the funding. It's that you can't fire anyone bad."
MAHER: "Yes.... The problem is the union, the teachers union, is too powerful. We've seen it in results in states where the union is less powerful, the schools do better."
HUGHES: "I call it the chalkboard mafia."
MAHER: "The problem, the unions protect bad schools and bad teachers, and the party protects the union. It's almost impossible in a lot of these cities to fire a teacher. I mean literally like you could sell drugs to a kid and it's got to be two offenses before we get—"
HUGHES: "It wasn't that long ago that the unions lobbied for a law in New York State to ban even collecting data that you would use to assess which teachers are better than others. You can't even get the data. So obviously the teachers union serves the teachers, they don't serve the students, and if you're a Democrat or any American that's serious about public school reform, you have to challenge the teachers union, period."
MAHER: "And I think in this school, where they were learning nothing with no supervision and absentee principals and teachers, I think spending 50,000 dollars per year per student, it's not money. That's what you always hear from the left. 'Oh, it's underfunded.' It's not the funding. The funding isn't the issue."
HUGHES: "No, it hasn't been for a very long time."
MAHER: "I think this is the kind of thing I will NEVER hear on MS NOW."
ALI VITALI: "I think you hear a lot of perspectives on MS NOW."
MAHER: "I don't ever hear that one."
CONTEXT: Maher and Hughes aren't making this up. On the latest Nation's Report Card, high school seniors posted the lowest reading and math scores ever recorded on the test.
And getting rid of bad teachers is nearly impossible. Federal survey data shows the average school district dismissed just 0.2 tenured teachers for poor performance in a year. That's roughly 1 in 500.
Meanwhile, students do better long-term in states where unions have less power.
A 2019 study in the American Economic Journal found that boys who went to school in states that forced districts to bargain with teachers' unions went on to earn about $2,100 LESS per year as adults compared to boys in states without those laws.
If a business failed this badly, someone would get fired. As Hughes put it: "The teachers union serves the teachers; they don't serve the students."

It's weird that the U.S. cares more about terrorist financing in Canada than the RCMP or CSIS do.
Strike that: I'm sure the RCMP and CSIS care.
But Mark Carney and Gary Anandasangaree are more interested in ethnic voting blocs than public safety.

OHH MY GOD 🚨 The ‘conspiracy theorists’ were right again
The Electronic Ear Tag on cattle that recently passed has NOTHING to do with disease traceability, the real reason is a new tax per cattle and to SLAUGHTER 10’s OF THOUSANDS OF CATTLE FOR CLIMATE CHANGE
Rep Harriet Hageman “The USDA for several years has been trying to force our cattle and bison producers to use what are called RFID or EID ear tags, electronic identification, ear tags. They wanna chip them all. I've been fighting against this, and they say it's for disease traceability.”
(She explains in the video how we already have excellent disease traceability)
“So you look at all of that, and so you think, okay, what is this really about?
And then you start looking at the countries that have implemented this. Ireland implemented in it in early 2022. By August 23, they were issuing an order that they had to slaughter 41,000 head of cattle. Not because of a disease outbreak, but BECAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING
In Denmark, they adopted an EID mandate. And last year they imposed a $100 a head tax on every single head of cattle in the country, not because of a disease outbreak, BECAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING ”
“So what you start seeing is how they use this information. This is a $1.2 - $1.9 billion tax on the cattle industry if it's actually implemented a 100%”

Journalists should never be paid by the government
This is the opposite of a Free Press
The slow and steady march of Canada's journalism industry becoming nearly completely subsidized by and reliant on government money continues, ...as the subsidies now spread beyond print to TV and radio newsrooms, following heavy lobbying:
$501 million in spending over five years. $85 million ongoing.
Today's budget:
"Budget 2026 proposes to extend eligibility for the Canadian Journalism Labour Tax Credit to the production of audio and audiovisual news. Audio and audiovisual news organizations that qualify as a QCJO and meet existing CJLTC-specific Canadian ownership requirements would be eligible to claim the tax credit in respect of the salary or wages of an eligible newsroom employee.
Qualifying organizations would be entitled to the same 35-per-cent credit rate and annual labour expenditure limit of $85,000 per employee that apply to written news production. "

Reminder that in Pierre Trudeau's last term in office (1980-1984) he almost cut immigration levels IN HALF, from 143,000 PR admissions to 88,000.
That's because Canada was going through a recession, and it made no sense to add large numbers of new people into the Canadian labour market when people were struggling to find work.
Now that young people are struggling to find work, wages are lagging behind inflation, there is huge excess demand over supply in our health care system, and public support for immigration is waning, what does the Liberal government do?
Massively increase immigration levels.
This is one of the worst public policy decisions in modern Canadian history. And unlike most bad policies, it is effectively irreversible.

Health Canada did not determine that the vaccines were safe, they simply declared them so.
There was no mid- or long-term data. The safety profile was largely incomplete. The declaration "safe" was largely unsubstantiated.
And courts went along with it.
Allison Inquiry UPDATE: The COVID Vaccine Loophole They NEVER WANTED YOU TO SEE!!!
Were Canadian children used as guinea pigs for the COVID-19 vaccines?
This morning on Parliament Hill, Conservative MP Dean Allison, Shawn Buckley, and others held a press conference updating the country on the Allison Inquiry, the citizen-driven effort that gave vaccine-injured Canadians a platform in September.
Over 1,400 people applied to testify; roughly 50 spoke under oath.
The rest of their stories are going into the permanent record.
At the press conference, it was pointed out that under the Interim Order used during COVID, pharmaceutical companies could receive approval for their COVID-19 vaccines in Canada without submitting the usual safety or efficacy data to Health Canada.
While officials and media pushed the “safe and effective” message and mandates, the regulatory pathway itself required far less of the traditional evidence most Canadians assumed was mandatory.
The Inquiry featured testimonies of heart damage, neurological injuries, lost careers, dismissed complaints, and ongoing struggles with the Vaccine Injury Support Program.
Many were told their injuries were anxiety, coincidence, or all in their head.
This was not a full parliamentary inquiry with subpoena power, but it put injured Canadians and their families on the record in the seat of power.
Allison and Buckley made it clear that this is just the beginning, with talk of more town halls so additional MPs can hear these stories directly.
Watch the Inquiry recordings, the press conference, and Press For Truth’s full coverage of the four days of testimony.

US Treasury's Department Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has designated eight money services businesses based in CANADA that ENABLE the Iranian regime.
"Canada is home to hundreds of money services businesses that enable the movement of funds into and out of Iran"
These Ontario and British Columbia businesses converted Iranian rials into digital assets, moving funds to sanctioned Iranian exchanges and IRGC-linked crypto addresses that help finance terrorism and human rights abuses.
Several also laundered million and in some cases billion in drug proceeds for Ryan Wedding, the former Olympic snowboarder turned narcotrafficker who used bulk cash and crypto to move his fortune abroad before his January 2026 arrest.
Secretary Scott Bessent declared Canada cannot remain a safe haven and vowed Treasury will hunt down Iran’s financial channels worldwide.
The designations freeze U.S.-linked assets and ban transactions, coordinated with FinCEN, FINTRAC, and the DEA.
