DeFi recorded 43 price-manipulation attacks YTD through Oct 21 — already above the 2022 full-year record of 27. But losses are actually lower at $199M. Tectonic alone is $124.5M of that. Of the other 42 incidents, 32 were under $1M each. More attempts, less damage. Risk infrastructure catching up.

I don't know how to explain this but if anyone can do for tractor software what you have done for TVs, they'll become some type of mythical American hero whose name is etched in stone for 100 years

not only am i not worried about the crypto community's ability to handle the upcoming ai/quantum threat, i will venture to say that in the next 2 yrs the world will realize crypto is far better prepared for it than the rest of the internet and finance. we've had a trillion dollar *irreversible* honey pot for a decade, producing a far more battletested system and adversarial security culture than pretty much anywhere else on earth.

DOLOMITE ADDS $100M IN BITCOIN-BACKED COLLATERAL Only @ConcreteXYZ can borrow against it on @Dolomite_io; Bitcoin stays at BitGo. Liquidations require offchain custody settlement, not an instant onchain sale. Read more here: thedefiant.io/news/defi/dolo…

$100M in Bitcoin-backed collateral. Now working on Dolomite. ₿ Through @ConcreteXYZ’s BTCcx infrastructure, institutional Bitcoin is now collateral on Dolomite, with borrowing already live against it. The underlying BTC stays with @BitGo in qualified custody. BTCcx connects that Bitcoin to onchain financial infrastructure, bringing institutional capital into real-world opportunities. Concrete provides the infrastructure connecting that custodied Bitcoin to DeFi. Dolomite provides the collateral market and borrowing venue. Following WLFIcx, BTCcx expands our collaboration with Concrete to Bitcoin, bringing another major institutional asset into our lending markets through its AssetCX architecture. Custody handled by BitGo. Access enabled by Concrete. Borrowing powered by Dolomite. 🏔️
1/ $100M in Bitcoin. A new chapter in institutional on-chain finance. Concrete and @Dolomite_io are collaborating on the first large-scale deployment of BTCcx. Bitcoin stays 1:1 backed in qualified custody. BTCcx brings that capital into real-world opportunities.

Onchain finance just got a lot closer to Main Street. @stewards_usa (Nasdaq: $SWRD) and @raincards announced a business card for small businesses today, with Dolomite helping connect the financing behind it. Congratulations to both teams. 🏔️ Stewards brings its small-business financing relationships, Rain brings the card and payments rails, and Dolomite ties the two together. For qualified small businesses, that would mean approved capital they can use straight from the card as needs come up. There's a lot more to share about our role here building the technology that sits underneath a program like this, and we can't wait to show you!
Our U.S. affiliate, @stewards_usa (Nasdaq: SWRD), is partnering with Rain to develop a business card designed to give qualified small businesses recurring access to approved capital. The planned platform combines private credit with technology-enabled payments infrastructure to create a more connected financing experience. agents don't sleep and there is no limit to the volume of agents that will be active in crypto in the coming years agentic activity is already greatly that of human traders look for protocols that provide the best venues for agentic trading look for protocols where higher volume = revenue to token holders look for broken charts where price ≠ fundamental progress

It has been a couple big weeks at Dolomite. 🏔️ 🔔 We joined @stewards_usa as they rang the Nasdaq Opening Bell. 💸 veDOLO borrow-fee rebates expanded to @Arbitrum and claims opened. 💻 We launched a whole new Dolomite web app. 🎙️ Our quarterly town hall covered all that, plus governance and what's next. Over two weeks, Prime Agent orchestrated a swarm of over 2,000 agents to rewrite itself in Rust. With 10,000+ sandboxes, 200B+ GLM-5.3 tokens, and 16,000 agent-to-agent messages, this was our largest test yet of Prime Agent’s multi-agent capabilities and our infrastructure powering these agent swarms. Prime Agent now reaches usable input ~13× faster and uses 83% less startup memory than before.

I discovered that 1000s of bots are actively monitoring X for new links posted, probably not just on my account I noticed when everytime I'd share one of my sites new features or pages, the page would get a bit slower just after posting, then I asked Claude to analyze it I tweeted a test URL as a reply somewhere deeply hidden in a thread (so not even a main post) And within 8 seconds there's thousands of crawlers opening the page! One is a military intelligence firm, that scans social media for breaking news and sells alerts to newsrooms, banks, companies and government, it specifically follows accounts with many followers Another one is a social media monitoring company that tracks what people say online I knew of course high frequency trading firms use online news to trade fast on things, but interesting to see it in real life Twitterbot (X) of course is first, within 0 seconds of sharing, it opens it (probably when I wrote the tweet) The first non-X bot arrives just 8.40s later, which I think is pretty fast considering it's a reply by me deeply hidden in a thread somewhere TL;DR they're watching you!

just to recap how insane things are getting: - an 11 day old model just solved 100s of math problems in a week that have stumped humans for centuries - AI is one-shotting every game, tool and software threatening the value of private moats to $0 - AI agents are hitting escape velocity hacking everything in sight AND winning everyone’s attention (Muse #1 in app store) - the pace of new model releases has compressed to every 11 days - the most powerful models are increasingly living behind closed walls, accessible to a elite group - biological AI models are entering mainstream channels & will see a similar acceleration to Mathematics. - semiconductor chips are skyrocketing in costs, demand has exceeded several trillion dollars over the next 3 years. you can just feel the time-warp sucking you in, everything seems like a blur i truly don’t think we have enough time to comprehend all of this - it’s only going to get faster.

This hacker is truly legendary. A complete amateur. 1. He left directory listing enabled on his own server, so researchers could figure out who he was with barely any effort. 2. They found files like CLAUDE.md and went through his Claude Code sessions. 3. There were questions like, “Where can I sell this data?” 4. He’d also asked, “Can you write my résumé?” That pretty much handed them all his personal information. 5. Apparently, he’s a student at South China University of Technology living in Guangdong. His name, phone number, and where he lives have all been identified.
Last week some of South Korea's biggest banks were hit by a cyberattack. Thanks to a report from CrowdStrike tonight, we now know the entire hack may have been done by a single person. He used a combined stack of an open-source AI penetration tool named ARTEX, DeepSeek v4.1-Flash, GLM-5.3, Grok 4.6, and Claude Code.

Look at him, thats my Qual. Your what? My Qualitative! My vibe specialist. Look at him, you notice anything different about him? Look at his face. I'll give you a hint, his name is Jayden. He won a local poetry competition in bushwick! Yeah I'm sure of the vibe.
Quant firms are hiring idea guys, not quants I've been skeptical about the whole - software is commoditized, ideas are the moat argument But I've seen first hand the best quant and technical firms in the world hire thinkers, liberal arts grads, and generalists I predict the trend accelerates Letter from @AQRCapital below
