I spent 27 years with an angry moody man. I'm done with that nonsense. I need a happy, chill dude in my life.

A TV channel interviewed George Mustas, Bob Uecker’s childhood friend and went on to say that Pat Murphy isn’t the only one getting messages from Ueck. I actually got one the other day. I asked: George: How’s it going up there? Bob: He said great. I got some good news and some bad news. George: What’s the good news? Bob: We play ball everyday up here George: Well what’s the bad news? Bob: you’re pitching tomorrow. I can see why these two were friends for so long. Best thing you’ll watch today.

Making Panera Broccoli Soup for dinner. For the cost of 1 soup at Panera, I'm gonna make a big ass batch. "Ass-Batch" was also the name of my Punk Band in the 90s

I genuinely don’t know how we’re supposed to share a society with people like this. She’s entirely too arrogant and smug for someone so genuinely devoid of decency or intelligence.
Genuinely evil woman right here

Jean-Luc Picard was a character who Meant Something. Both in the amount of tragedy he endured ... -Was stabbed in the heart in his youth, surviving with an artificial one -Successfully reversed his assimilation by the Borg in what seemed like the most helpless of situations (though still forced to endure whispers of the hivemind because of irrevocably altered DNA). -Had his consciousness abducted to live an entire second life as Kamin -- first defiantly, then begrudgingly, then wholeheartedly -- on the dying planet Kataan before being returned, just as abruptly, to resume his life as a Starfleet captain -Was captured and tortured, both physically and psychologically, by the Cardassians, only to be rescued at his most broken point -Flatlined on the operating table after being shot in his artificial heart, requiring Q to save him through a temporal intervention that forced him to confront his past regrets and ultimately reinvigorated his will to live -Was absorbed by, then escaped from the Nexus, where he was seduced by a manifestation of the life he most deeply desired but could never have -Realized far too late the importance of family and grieved for his missed opportunities ... And in the way he carried himself, with a poise and intensity that left no doubt whose ship it was. He *commanded* in a way that hasn't been depicted on screen before or since, and his unwavering competence and dutiful resolve made him one of my earliest role models. Patrick Stewart wasn't Jean-Luc Picard, of course, but he's the only actor who could have made Picard what he was. And that makes me eternally grateful to him.

Sandwiches that used to be $5 are $15. Cans of pop that used to be 50 cents are $2. The dollar menu is now the $3 menu. The $5 family size bag of chips is $9. Your free side of fries is somehow $5 now. And people will look you dead in the face and say it's a spending issue
every meal is $20

A Patrick Stewart anecdote I’ve always loved: Gene Roddenberry, the creator of Star Trek, was once asked about the decision to cast Patrick Stewart as Captain Jean-Luc Picard. The reporter said, “Surely by the 24th century, they would have found a cure for male pattern baldness.” To which Gene Roddenberry replied, “No, by the 24th century, no one will care.”
