Received this text yesterday (as did my husband). Deceptive much? Will likely affect low-info Democratic/liberal voters most. No org/name claiming credit for this, but I'd love to know! (Added some fact-checking to prevent more disinfo)

"Nearly 97% of voting-age American citizens now live in states that offer the option to vote before Election Day"
"For voters who have been told there are powerful forces trying to prevent them from voting, or may have experienced that in the past, it’s not their fault for thinking that voting might be harder than it is. Honestly, they’re why we did this report." npr.org/2024/03/19/123864604…

Relying on millions of voters - already overburdened by the pandemic & major economic stresses (let alone every other aspect of their personal lives) - to save our democracy over & over again, only for each to be only a temporary fix is really not that. And it's not sustainable.
I heard a frustrated Democrat on the radio say, "We voted in 2020." That's like saying, "I fed the baby yesterday."

Btw: I strongly recommend everyone watch Winter on Fire on Netflix. It’s an incredible documentary about the 2014 conflict. It will give you amazing insight into what the fighting in that city is going to look like in the coming days. netflix.com/title/80031666
