The Church of England hierarchy are a malign, corurpt & self serving racket. Who actively dislike both Christianity & England.

As in the civil service, so too in the church it seems. Endless bloat in overmighty back office bureaucrats at the expense of frontline delivery

Whole country full of people making sacrifices like this - but the leadership want to give away £100m in slavery "reparations" so they can grandstand - very poor.

This misunderstands the geographic fracturing of British politics since the 2024. Due to the catastrophic failures of the 2019-24 Tory governments over immigration the populist right are now a permanent feature of British politics based on geography, age & social class.
As I predicted, Reform couldn't professionalise, peaked too soon, and once it's polling 3rd for long enough, a lot of Conservative-Reform switchers are going to want to come back and back the stronger horse, leading to a death spiral for Reform.

Shabana Mahmood using Fraser Nelson's deranged talking points about crime statistics. Which are deliberately & shamelessly dishonest. In London since 2025 violence against the person is up 40%, sexual offences up 75%, theft from a person up 207%,
Some chatter on social media would have you believe that crime is out of control. The facts tell a different story. As @frasernelson has shown in his Substack today: Violence is at its lowest level since the crime survey began in 1981. Robbery is at a record low. Crime, excluding fraud, is 78% down on its peak in 1995. And the stats show this Government is delivering on its promises too: Knife crime is down 11%. Knife murders are at their lowest level in 35 years. Thefts including phone snatching have fallen by 20% in the last year alone. But I know there is more that we must do, and we will: We’ve put more than 3,800 extra neighbourhood officers into roles, with named, contactable officers for every neighbourhood. We’re introducing the most significant reforms to policing in a generation. We are tackling rising rates of violence against women and girls through our landmark strategy. And we are tackling crimes like fraud, more prevalent in our increasingly online world, with £250 million directed to this challenge in our Fraud Strategy published this year.

This doesn't change the basic post-2024 political reality for the British right. For there to a be a right wing government after the next election the Tories & Reform need each other. They appeal to different voters in different parts of the country.
“Flatlining” “in slow decline” “never going to find the support” - all things Reform supporters have said to me about the Tories in the last week. I merely pointed out that ignoring reality (not winning or flying but more than surviving) won’t help. Meant as advice not crowing 🤷🏻‍♂️

She doesn’t know what she’s talking about. The EU questioned the role of the City during Brexit & was told by 1000 EU Financial Services firms they would decamp to London if there was any more EU nonsense on Fin Services. Meanwhile we have a trade deal already mostly for goods. (Which mostly suits the EU but that’s our weakness in negotiations caused by the HoC). If you want to export into the Single Market you have to follow their regulations but other businesses should not have to! Finally I do not see how letting EU students come to all the UK’s top universities for free is somehow beneficial to us whilst we pick up the bill?

Best anecdote in Carol Thatcher's book about her father is when Sir Denis boarded a train at Paddington in which the only empty compartment was reserved for Rosewood Psychiatric Hospital. Denis travelled alone and in comfort as far as Reading when "all these chaps piled in", accompanied by a male nurse, who counted them before the train moved off. 'One, two, three, four ... who are you?" "I'm the Prime Minister's husband." "Six, seven, eight, nine..."

The BBC has agreed to pay £400,000 to an award-winning Jewish documentary-maker who alleged she was subjected to antisemitism and pushed out of the corporation after October 7. Lucie Kon, 57, spent 22 years at the BBC and worked on programmes including Panorama, Today, BBC Breakfast and Storyville. Films she commissioned or helped produce won an Oscar, Emmy and Bafta. Kon says her treatment changed dramatically after the Hamas attacks. She alleges colleagues described Zionists like her as “evil”, argued that Israel should be called terrorist if Hamas was, and told her to consider what had driven Hamas to carry out the massacre. When she proposed a documentary about October 7, Kon says she was told she was “too partial” to oversee it because she was Jewish. She subsequently filed a formal grievance, but a BBC investigation rejected her complaint. Kon says she was then kept away from work for months. During a restructuring, her position was made redundant and she failed to secure the similar role replacing it. She launched unfair-dismissal proceedings. The BBC has now agreed substantial compensation, reported as £400,000, without admitting liability or accepting that Kon suffered antisemitism. Kon says Jewish employees still at the corporation continue to face hostility and feel unable to identify openly as Jewish or Zionist.
