Genuinely one of the most heartbreaking interviews I’ve seen of a sportsman at rock bottom. The interviewer gives a perfect example of how to be there for someone struggling. The compassion shown. The hug. The kindness. Hope Mark gets the help he needs.

Exceptional from @DavidSneyd
The last sentence could apply to every single news report ran on RTÉ that covers Israeli officials.
A mad day.
Reality and fantasy collide.
Propaganda versus decency.
The police are called. They investigate Israeli claims of assault and dismiss them completely.
There is still a football match to be played.

Four decades ago, before Jack McCarron and Rory Beggan heroics took Monaghan past Derry and Louth’s Sam Mulroy broke Armagh hearts, it was Eamon McEneaney who wrote his name in lights with the last kick of the game.
A Monaghan legend, McEneaney has spent 36 of the 41 years since he kicked that free across the county line. His wife is from Louth, his sons Jim and Sean played for Louth and he has managed at all levels in Louth.
But you’ll never take Monaghan out of the man.

Agree with Joyce but it tells you everything that this is a big statement.
Players who don't make my SQUAD can play with club. It's crazy that he's one of a very select group of managers relaxed enough for that.
I'd go further. Forget the 26. If you don't play more than 10 minutes, the county manager should have no say at all
