Round one of “Hagler vs Hearns” is undoubtedly the greatest opening round in boxing history. This should be posted here once a week. I don’t care how many times I see it, it never gets old.

I’ve supported Arsenal for over 30 years. I’m a season ticket holder and we’re successful. Yet I’ve never felt more disconnected from the club. I’ve written about why, and what I miss about the game I fell in love with. taproomnetwork.com/2026/10/1…

Oh, BTW Bloo, I do some legal work for lawyers on a pro bono basis, eg when 8 former mcfc players went to court for careers lost after being sexually abused at City as kids by predatory paedophile Barry Bennell. City’s lawyers called Bennell to gaslight them in court, from prison

"Fergie banned me twice" 😄 The Blue Moonie cult cannot help themselves with their ridiculous lies 👇 🤡🤡🤡
Ferguson banned me twice from Old Trafford for pretty much nothing. Tomorrow, City are indulging some 'journalist' shitstains who have taken liberties with our Club in recent days. You know who they are and more fool us for doing so.

The question isn’t whether the people spinning the “assumption” line are liars - obviously they are. It’s why they’re such terrible liars, and how they can expect anyone to believe them.

Ornstein on the overlap said people who have looked into the City case are baffled, they did not even need to cheat when they did, or nowhere near to the level that they did. They could have got legal sponsors who paid a lot of money etc, they still had room to comply with FFP. So in short, this nonsense that FFP hindered them is complete bullshit. City just wanted to do it "now" no waiting, no building, they cheated massively to destroy the league, when they did not even need to. So any argument about FFP is futile.

Etihad threatening to sue. UAE reportedly intimating that UK investment could be pulled. A Prime Minister couching any criticisism. If this sorry saga doesn't convince you that state ownership of football clubs should never be allowed, nothing ever will.

City fans talking about Abu Dhabi's regeneration of east Manchester as a mitigating factor is nonsense Univ. Of Sheffield report says they got vast tracts of central Manchester on the cheap from the council and then funnelled the rents offshore. sheffield.ac.uk/management/n…

From ESPN - if City were aware of the outcome in July and spent heavily this summer on players without telling them, these same players have a real case to challenge their contracts

The problem with this argument is City fans have to choose 1 of 2 positions: 1. Man City cheated because it's the only way to catch up bigger clubs. 2. Man City didn't cheat, in which case the rules are fine as they DO allow teams to compete with (& even emulate) bigger clubs.
Seeing the response to this whole debacle one thing really stands out. It’s actually impressive how many folk, particularly those supporting non-elite clubs have been completely hoodwinked into thinking top-level football is remotely equitable. A huge part of the media landscape - TV, radio, punditry, journalism etc - is dominated by the interests and perspectives of the biggest clubs, meaning the narrative is often established before it’s ever seriously challenged. And when you really think about it, why would fans of those clubs be particularly motivated to question a system that disproportionately benefits their own teams? If the existing structure delivers them greater resources, exposure, influence and opportunity, there’s little incentive to interrogate whether the system itself is truly fair. Inequality becomes normalised when the people benefiting from it are also the ones with the loudest platforms to explain why it’s perfectly reasonable. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Twitter has peaked. Roofers have turned into barristers, people in Africa are trying to get David Ornstein sacked for reporting the news, middle aged men are writing essays on the RED CARTEL. It does not get any better than this

When you’re asking foreign royals who don’t know you exist to increase your cost of living, it’s probably worth contemplating whether at some stage your football fandom might have caused your brain to fall out.
Raise the price of petrol and diesel, @MansourBinZayed. Let’s see what decision they come to after that.

If this is true, it is a very sad day for all of us supporters of @ManCity - we can give it the big one about not being bothered or try to laugh it off, but the stain on a club I have supported for over 50 years is a very painful one to take and I am exceptionally upset at the reputational damage #MCFC #mancity
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Manchester City found guilty on virtually all charges relating to breaches of Premier League financial regulations. #MCFC expected to appeal against verdict issued by independent commission. Sanctions undecided, process ongoing @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/7049721…
