Small businesses are the backbone of New Hampshire's economy. As a small business owner, I'll always fight to ensure Main Street has the support they need. I'm honored to have the support of the @USChamber as well as small businesses throughout the First District. #NHPolitics

You can’t claim to be for law and order and call the people who attacked the police on January 6th “patriots.”

Thank you @RepKenBuck for meeting w/ eBay sellers Karen Lesak of Finds for You, Yinka Ogunsunlade of @FL_eBayStore and Nick Quade of Relay Networks to discuss the negative impacts of the SHOP SAFE Act on #SmallBiz. We are grateful for all your work to #ProtectSmallBiz.

Monday is tax day but it is never too early to start thinking about next year and as @Saunderswsj points out in this great piece wsj.com/articles/you-made-70… if you occasionally sell a few things online - next year is going to be much more challenging.

Granite Staters selling items and doing business online shouldn’t have to be subjected to confusing tax requirements. Today I introduced legislation alongside @RepCindyAxne to cut red tape and make it simpler and easier for small online sellers. 1/2 pappas.house.gov/media/press…

I feel for the staffers who are struggling here. Not disused is that salaries on the Hill have remained the same while the cost of living has grown. I made 24k at my first hill job in 1999. My rent was 700 now that place would cost triple that. politi.co/3IZf8aM

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is a very big deal for our community. For decades, infrastructure in California has suffered from a systemic lack of federal investment. This law will help turn things around while creating great American jobs! @KUSINews

You're correct that if you sell personal goods for a loss there is no reportable income. But the platforms don't know your basis in those goods. So if you cross that $600 threshold they will issue you a 1099-K, which is going to confuse millions of folks when they get them.
"If you’re selling personal items at a loss, the reporting doesn’t affect you, Bronnenkant said. For instance, if you purchased a dining-room table for $1,000 and sold it for $600, this amount would not be subject to income tax or result in PayPal sending you a 1099-K."

Or because there aren’t unions for gym, restaurants or bar employees??🤔🤔

But like his fellow 2020 decertifiers, he has no doubt he himself was elected fairly - in the same election on the same ballots in the same year. msn.com/en-us/news/politics/…

"Jan 6th and The Big Lie are far worse than Watergate. Richard Nixon cheated to win and resigned. Donald Trump refused to acknowledge losing and attempted to overthrow the government. Nixon had intelligence and a conscience. Trump has only ignorance and vanity." - John Dean
