🚩Dominos store banned from hiring migrant workers for a year.
“GBN Trading LTD, trading as Domino’s Pukekohe and Domino’s Pōkeno, were issued the ban. They have also been ordered to pay thousands of dollars after being caught employing a worker at a different branch than allowed by their work visa.
In the last 2 years more than 300 infringement notices have been issued to non-compliant businesses, resulting in a total of $1,000,000 in financial penalties.

It gets worse! Major Pizza chain franchisee blows whistle on Indian immigration scam.
Garner reports on what we all know is happening, but what might be surprising is the alleged widespread corruption in our immigration system.
The whistleblower claims Indians who want into NZ are paying up to 40k to franchisee owners to line up a job to allow them to migrate to NZ, and also they will only ever hire other Indians.

A couple of things worth noting. First, the data service isn't restricted to certain apps like some competing offerings — it's a full mobile data connection, so anything that works on a regular cell network works here too. Second, 111 support is something other satellite mobile services coming to NZ can't offer, which for a country with as much remote and coastal geography as ours is a real differentiator.
