jev is wild 🫣 it makes a viral score for X posts calibrated on *you* possible. built a free X post tester on it with @Octolens + @typesafeai > you enter your X handle > jev reads your last 60 posts, 56 questions each > that becomes your normal on X (= 50) > you draft, the score updates as you type > 8 AI writers rewrite it, jev re-scores every version, none may change your point cost: ~$0.00006 per score time: ~500ms per score my own X post went 57 → 75 in 20 seconds. watch:

Honestly, when do we start addressing Germany as a Basketball nation? Germany women just booked their spot in the semifinal at the home World Cup in Berlin. Germany men are reigning World and European Champions. We won gold at the Olympics in 3x3. We are absolutely unreal at Basketball atm and it’s honestly extremely sad it goes under the radar so much.

Guys, I promise you, if you buy backlinks from Outrank you will get slapped out of the Google index and burn your domain forever. Too many people haven't lost their entire livelihood to a spam update yet and it shows!

Everyone is open sourcing everything right now. Why? AI made software a commodity. So you don't sell the software anymore, you sell everything around it: the hosting, the support, the enterprise tier, the trust, and the community. Open source is the default now!

Met a German founder this week and asked him if all the stories one reads about the challenges of startups in Germany are exaggerated. "No, they're understated." Proceeded to describe spending a full day having a 90-page investment contract read to him (mandatory under German law; § 13 BeurkG) by a notary that then charged €30,000. That was for his first company. His second company, needless to say, was not incorporated in Germany.

Given the state of AI we must internalize: Everything hackable will get hacked. Two forces are at work: ▪︎ Near-frontier open weight models hack without refusal ▪︎ Frontier models help you defend yourself How we're approaching this new reality ↓ vercel.com/blog/everything-h…

theres a method you learn in YCombinator to compress a month of GTM research into 3 hours. you dont ask Claude to “research the market.” instead you feed it: 30+ competitor fully indexed websites 10+ earnings call transcripts (biggest incumbents) 100 customer reviews 10+ Reddit thread full of complaints (if u can find them) then, after that you ask claude: “what does every successful player in this market understand that customers never say out loud?” then ask: “what are the assumptions this entire market is built on, and what would have to be true for each one to be wrong?” 15 minutes later, you’ll have: -the blind spots -the consensus -the ideas relevant to customers that nobody’s talking about then get Claude to attack the idea like a great investor. “what’s the strongest version of this argument, and where does it still break?” 3 hours later, you’ll have a (very initial) GTM strategy that feels like it comes from someone who’d spent a decade in the market. use Claude like a tireless research partner with no ego about being wrong develop ur intial hypothesis, then go out into the market and start having real customer convos to validate it (you can use tools like Origami to quickly build customer lists to target)

With all the talk about the @airtable acquisition today: the very first version of @Octolens was an Airtable I sent to our customers. When I was still validating the idea 2.5 years ago, I tweeted asking if anyone would pay $20/month for early access social listening. 10 people paid upfront, and there was no product. There was no web app and no AI either. I was the "AI relevance": I manually searched every platform for posts about our first customers, scored them, and put everything into an Airtable for them. We used Airtable as our first database because it was the easiest tool to start automating with. We could ingest one data source at a time, while the actual product didn't exist yet. Every week collecting posts got a little bit easier for me, until we were ready to build an actual UI. Funny enough, Airtable's self-serve onboarding was also one we looked to as an example back then, because it had that magical feel when you first set it up. Products don't keep that magical feel on their own though. You need to stay current and move ahead of trends for your customers, and that's essentially the same reason we're rebuilding Octolens for agents right now. The image is the actual Airtable from early 2024, when we were still called Crowdlens.

We’ve decided to open-source a multi-agent harness we use internally at YC. We call it “QM” and it’s meant to be easy to customize, like Hermes or OpenClaw, but useful for a whole company. We use it across accounting, legal, events, and engineering (including building QM itself!). The whole project is under an MIT license. It is cloud-first and has Slack and web UI natively.
