To all my fellow dads:
Quit acting like you have it all together. You don’t. Just surrender to, love deeply, and prioritize faithfully the one who holds it all together…the Heavenly Father.
Your kids (and your wife) will thank you!

The best memories aren’t found at the top, they are forged on the journey. Embrace the experience you are on even if it’s taking you through deep, desolate valleys.
God is doing something you can’t imagine.

If indeed Roe vs Wade has been overturned there is deep rejoicing in my soul. Thank you God for this victory for life. However, Church, we cannot remain simply being happy for the decision, but we must prepare our hands and our homes for even deeper action.
The Church must come alongside mothers in their time of need. Even more than before the Church must care for orphans and widows in their affliction for that is pure, undefiled religion. It’s beyond time we put action to our words.

Henry: Daddy, do you like having our fish, our puppy, or our baby better?
Me: I like them all but I really like our baby.
Henry: Well, I like our fish and puppy the best. The baby doesn’t play with me.
A look inside the mind of a 4 year old…at least he’s honest.
Not even in the office 5 minutes and I spilled coffee down my shirt…it’s gonna be a good day!

Much of the preaching in America’s churches today is built around the individual and how to improve and be better. Man-centered preaching says, “this is your flaw and this is how you can enhance your life.” (1 of 3)
Biblical preaching is built on the Word of God and focuses on how big and glorious God is. Biblical preaching says, “this is your flaw and here’s what God has done.” (2 of 3)
This is an amazing story from heroes unnamed and unconcerned with their own livelihood.
Drop whatever you are doing and read the spellbinding story of special force vets in Afghanistan who took their own initiative to save hundreds of lives.
Self-sacrificial manhood yet lives, friends.

To my young men in ministry…
Don’t build your brand. Don’t market yourself. Don’t create your kingdom.
Preach the Word. Proclaim Jesus. Love the Church. Care for people.
The glory belongs to Him, not you.
*Colossians 3:23-24*
The news, images, and stories that are coming out of Afghanistan are deeply upsetting. I don’t know all the answers, but what I do know is that we must pray. Christians, join with me in praying for those in harms way. Pray with me for the peace of that land.
Pray with me for the Christians who are in hiding and fearful for their life. Pray with me for the women in that country who are being demoralized and abused. Pray with me.
For those of us privileged to have been born in America we often don’t realize what we have.
Yes, our country has major problems, but people around the world are begging to get here. They are desperate and willing to cling to aircrafts to get to safety. Often, we are so ungrateful.
