For the record - the Navy rivalry should be protected at all costs. If you don’t know the history behind it, @TopTierIrish explains it well. In this era I know tradition doesn’t always matter to everyone. But it matters at Notre Dame.
Why Notre Dame plays Navy every year. A thread 🧵

Going 11-1 in the playoffs en route to winning the World Series isn’t for everyone. Unless of course you’re the 2005 Chicago White Sox (or 1999 Yankees).

Why did Tampa Bay take Rasmussen out so early? Is it just due to short rest? He was pitching fine. The bullpen is overworked.

I'll answer this now: It's the 2005 White Sox. They won 99 games and led their division from start to finish. Including the regular season, they went 19-3 over their final 22 games (8-2 reg season/11-1 in the playoffs) and swept the Astros in the World Series.
Once the Brewers get the final out in Game 3, they'll be 10-1 in this postseason. And we'll start the nominations for the most dominant champions ever (in the division era, starting in 1969)...

“At its root, perfectionism isn’t really about a deep love of being meticulous. It’s about fear. Fear of making a mistake. Fear of disappointing others. Fear of failure. Fear of success.” ― Michael Law

Based on both mathematically & realistically being alive, I think the number of Power 4 teams fighting for the 11 CFP spots right now is ironically……..24 SEC = 9 (Kentucky, UGA, Bama, Florida, Ole Miss, LSU, Tennessee, Mizzou, Texas) Big 10 = 6 (UCLA, OSU, Indiana, Norhtwestern, Wisconsin, Nebraska) Big 12 = 5 (Utah, BYU, Arizona, Tx Tech, Ok State) ACC = 3 (Miami, SMU, Wake Forest) Plus Notre Dame

The majority of MLB owners and general managers have no idea why the Brewers are the best team in baseball. I will give them a hint. It has nothing to do with hiring Driveline employees. It has very little to do with data and analytics. It has a lot to do with real baseball guys and basic fundamentals.

Anyone who actually hates Notre Dame just doesn’t understand CFB in total. Or they’re rivals and truly hate NDs guts for competitive reasons, which is fine. It’s the ppl who watch ESPN for 30 min a week & cry on twitter that are insufferable.

People act like we play Navy instead of 2012 Alabama. Reality is we play Navy instead of an FCS team. Most programs play 9 power 5 teams. We usually play 10.

people think they choose every game on their schedule but its the horrible ACC deal they have that makes the schedule weaker. If they could actually choose I guarantee it’d be a much harder schedule

Got a text from another personnel executive this morning, noting that this is the third straight QB class that has had similar problems.
The 2027 QB draft class was expected to be loaded. Now it’s getting messy. And it’s not just an Arch Manning problem. From NFL Blue Book… nflbluebook.com/p/week-7-rec…

Such wonderful memories! R.I.P Bobby Jenks
On this date in 2005, the White Sox ended their 87-year World Series drought with a 4-game sweep of the Astros. Chicago put together a historic postseason run going 11-1 on their way to the title.

The SEC is leading the country in AP ranked teams with losses to unranked teams. All three other power four conferences COMBINED have the same amount of ranked vs unranked losses as the SEC! People are saying “the SEC is overrated DOGSHIT”
