Nothing kills research momentum like an AI tool telling you you've hit your limit halfway through a task. 😤 Thankfully, SciSpace just removed that... As a research novice, I tried a lot of AI tools before I found what worked. The ones that cut me off mid-task were the ones I stopped using. 🧵

In about 90 minutes, I'll have an opportunity to speak with our medical students @kwasumedicine @KwasuOfficial; this is one point I'll touch on. The matter needs little emphasis—the reality is before us.
A message from an EMERITUS PROFESSOR to younger colleagues of doctors. One of the most realistic advice I’ve heard from an elder

The optics aren't in our favor, but much of what the public never sees happens behind the scenes. I have seen our health workers across all cadres pour personal resources into keeping people alive, from donating blood to crowdfunding diagnostics. I remember the times I was sending tissue blocks overseas to mentors offering free testing for patients who couldn't cover courier fees. This constant strain of pushing against a wall of impossibility causes severe emotional burnout and flat affect; exactly what makes one “appear” nonchalant. What you don't see is a workforce depleted by a system that fails us as hard as it fails the patient.
I've deleted the tweet. I'm not one to criticize our medical staff, but the complete lack of empathy, poor and unclear communication, and nonchalant attitude during the emergency were just deeply frustrating and it pushed me to speak out (unbeknownst to me, there was a situation with doctors on the timeline, as I hadn't been very active all day). I took it down o, cause I'd hate for my genuine frustration to be seen as simply "joining a bandwagon to target medical workers". It was a sad situation, but all will be well.

Did anyone else read the dictionary, thesaurus, and encyclopedias for fun as a kid or my parents are just psychopaths?

There's a whole new role emerging in clinical AI called Physician AI engineer. It describes a doctor who understands and builds AI systems for clinical purposes. I think the role will only get more common with time.
