I’m a big Kevin McGiven fan. Dude was a solid choice for OC and I hope he has a ton of success… except this weekend.
Utah OC Kevin McGiven on BYU's defense:
"I think they mix it up really well. They're extremely well coached. They're extremely aggressive on defense. They mix it up really, really well.
"So it's really tough to get a beat on what their looks are, what their tendencies are because they have so much variation to their defense and they play it all really, really well.
"Usually with teams, when you see that much variation, it's like, OK, what are they good at? What's their identity? But I think they have an identity. They do it all pretty well with the players they have."

"I'm going to be honest. When I first started watching Bear, I'm like, 'This guy cannot throw. He's a running back playing quarterback.' I was wrong, dead wrong.
"I mean, Aaron Roderick has done such a great job developing him and you can tell his work ethic also. You have to compliment him on that because he is an efficient thrower. He has zip on his ball. He makes great decisions. Add to that, the fact that when he runs, it's like, OK, bring your lunch every time.
"He is thick, he's tough to bring down, really good balance. So the dual threat is always going to be something that if team's got that, then you really have to have answers and take your shots every once in a while, but can't say enough good things about him."
It’s hard to talk about this week as Utah Hate Week. I love the Utes. I just want them to lose everything, in every circumstance, no matter what. Is that so bad?
