I just found an active life insurance policy my husband took out on me last month. We don't have kids, a mortgage, or any debt, and he’s always been completely financially reckless. When I confronted him, he broke down crying, held my hands, and said, "Please don't ask questions, but if anything happens to you, this is the only way I can pay them back." Now every time he hands me a glass of water, my chest tightens. Do I run, or do I trust the man I married? but who is he paying back?

I was picturing our kids before she'd finished putting sunscreen on my shoulders. It started with a bad decision. My buddy Chris invited me to a beach day in Ocean City, Maryland, with a group of his friends, most of whom I'd never met. I'm very pale and I'd just gotten back from a work trip, so I hadn't been outside in months. I told myself I'd put on sunscreen later. I never did. That's how I met Jenna. She was Chris's wife's college roommate, and she spent most of the afternoon on a towel with a paperback. We talked for maybe twenty minutes total, mostly about whether the water was too cold. At one point she glanced at my shoulders and said, "You know you're getting fried, right?" I said I was fine. I was not fine.

Turns out that if you are at least moderately attractive and have good grades in school they just let you raw dog ADHD and autism until you're in your 30s and realize you should probably get a diagnosis that isn't borderline or anxiety

I started wanting my husbands best friend.. I just always thought of Steve as John’s buddy, almost like a brother actually. He had been around since before we got married. Game nights, birthdays, random weekends where he showed up with beer and stayed too long. He knew where the extra glasses were. He joked with John in a way that came from years, not effort. For a long time, I didn’t think about him as anything else. Then I started noticing stupid things How he always rinsed his plate before putting it in the sink. How he remembered I didn’t like onions in the salsa. How he went quiet when John got on work calls and left the two of us in the kitchen. None of it meant anything on its own. That was what made it worse. The first time it felt different was a weeknight. John was home, but stuck on a call in the bedroom. Steve had come over to return a charger and somehow ended up staying for leftovers. I was reheating food. He stood on the other side of the counter, scrolling his phone. Comfortable. Too comfortable. “You want the rest of the rice?” I asked. “If you don’t” I passed him the container. Our fingers touched for a second. Neither of us commented on it. People touched by accident all the time. I still pulled my hand back too fast. John laughed at something through the wall. Steve glanced toward the hallway, then back at me. “He’s always on calls now” he said.

HELP! My job was to deposit $27,000 in cash into a BANK account on behalf of a client. The money was bundled up in a plastic bag, and I didn’t open it at all. The bank teller counted the money using a machine and manually counted some of it as well. After everything was done, they handed me a deposit receipt confirming $27,000 DONE! Four hours later,…

Unprotected sex isn't just about pleasure. It's about trust, health, and the risks you both take. Before sharing that level of intimacy, have honest conversations about STI testing, contraception, and each other's health. Love matters, but so does protecting yourself

The night I found out my boyfriend was cheating on me, I was sitting in his mother’s kitchen helping her prepare the food for our introduction ceremony And the woman he was cheating with was the same woman who had been calling me “my daughter” for almost three years Let me explain I met Daniel when I was 24, and for the first time in my life, I felt like I didn't have to beg a man to love me He called me every morning, stayed on the phone with me until I fell asleep, and whenever I cried, he would say, “Baby, you’re my wife already, we’re just waiting for the right time” I believed him When he lost his job, I used my savings to help him pay rent When his father got sick, I sent money for hospital bills without asking when he would pay me back My friends warned me that I was doing too much, but I always defended him “Daniel isn't like other men” That was my favorite sentence His mother loved me too, or at least I thought she did She would call me to ask about his meals, tell me how lucky her son was, and even send me pictures of wedding dresses she wanted me to wear So when Daniel told me we should finally meet both families, I cried that night because I thought all my sacrifices had finally meant something I had no idea I was about to discover that I was the only person in that relationship who didn't know the truth

"It really feels good when someone has a soft spot for you and doesn't try to hide it, they just let it show. That is the best part about being loved in a way that feels so safe, calm, and beautifully reassuring.
