I am impressed by the presentation and breakdown of the leaked Russian losses
rosstat-leaks.com/?lang=en
It carefully breaks down category, region, timing (only current to early 2026 and so the top number is a significant underestimate)
It is interactive, allowing you to zoom into the map (more than one level of zoom) more more detailed results
You can also search a specific certificate number

Reminder: There is one single root cause of the war in Ukraine:
*Russia believes it has the God-given right to rule over the people of Eastern Europe and thus to decide who governs there or what alliances they join.*
Thats it.
On the eve of Día de los Muertos, Mexico City’s Zócalo fills with cempasúchil, the marigolds whose color and scent are said to guide souls home. Formally called the Plaza de la Constitución, this main square was once the center of Tenochtitlan, the Aztec capital. From above, gold flower arrangements are visible fanning out from the central flagpole and public altar, framed by the cathedral to the north and the National Palace to the east. 🌼

Kushner is new to this, so he may not be aware that there's actually a long history of security architecture that includes Russia (OSCE & NATO-Russia Council).
The problem isn't lack of architecture, it's that Russia keeps violently attacking the foundations of it.
President Trump today advanced an important discussion with several European leaders about the need for a broader European security architecture that can help establish the conditions for lasting peace.
Building on his leadership and the substantive work undertaken this week in Brussels with Ukraine, NATO, and our European partners, @SEPeaceMissions and I wanted to share some of the objectives guiding our ongoing discussions.
For more than 30 years, Europe and Russia have struggled to establish a sustainable security framework. Decades of mistrust, competing security concerns, and the devastating consequences of this war make this an extraordinarily difficult challenge, but one that is essential to lasting peace.
Our objective is to develop practical arrangements that address the security concerns of all sides, reduce the risk of future conflict, and create a more stable and predictable security environment.
We are exploring five principal goals: permanent security consultations, reliable crisis communications, greater military transparency, reciprocal measures to reduce escalation risks, and an enduring framework for long-term European security and stability.
Any arrangements must fully respect the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independent decision-making of every nation. Each country will retain authority over its own security and alliances, and no country would have a veto over another’s sovereign choices. NATO will remain central to European collective defense, and this initiative would build upon existing institutions and commitments.
We will continue consultations through the Shell Bay format with Ukraine, NATO, the EU, and our European partners, expanding engagement to ensure that all relevant perspectives and ideas are considered. We will also engage Russia as part of the peace negotiations.
Next week in Abu Dhabi, the United States will convene the first trilateral peace discussions with Ukraine and Russia since February. All parties remain intensely engaged in preparing for substantive and productive negotiations. We will consult closely with our European partners on the sidelines and, if progress is made, aim to move toward a broader multilateral format with their direct participation.
These ideas continue to evolve, and we welcome thoughtful input. Creating the right structure will be critical to ending this war and transitioning from conflict toward conditions that make possible a durable peace.
This is difficult, detailed work. There are no easy solutions. But the opportunity to help end this devastating war and build a foundation for a more peaceful, secure, and prosperous Europe for generations to come makes it a challenge well worth undertaking.
We will see how these discussions develop and continue working intensively with all parties toward President Trump’s objective of a comprehensive and lasting peace.

Today, Celtic languages are spoken as a mother tongue only on the far fringes of Europe—by about 1 million people in Ireland and Wales, and in small communities in Brittany and on the Isle of Man.
But a new analysis, based on ancient DNA as well as linguistic clues and archaeology, shows the prehistoric homeland of the Celts lay in Europe’s very heart.

Russia is bombing terminally ill children.
This is not war.
This is pure, deliberate cruelty.
A place that exists for one reason—to give critically ill, dying children a shred of peace and comfort in their final days—was turned into a war zone by russian drones. At the House of Butterflies hospice in Chernivtsi, staff had to haul these kids, many on life support and unable to move, out of their beds and into shelters while air-raid sirens screamed, russian drones roared overhead, and nearby strikes lit the night with fires. russia is a cruel evil terrorist state! We can never hate them enough

When you are a boy, masculinity & strength looks like sports-cars, muscle shirts, status symbols, pretty girls as decoration.
When you become an actual man you realise what masculinity & strength is: Carrying your sick child to sleep at night & somehow finding the energy to go to work again the next day. Being able to support your aging parents. Being able to fix things like a dishwasher or a leaky sink. Having patience to deal with a whiny toddler, an erratic teenager or a tired & hungry wife after both of you worked your a** off all day. Being reliable, making your word count, doing the hard, but right thing.
Statistically, men are the unhappiest mid-life. Its the everyday grind, the responsibility, the growing demand on your soul & body at the same time you are losing the last remains of your youthful energy. Its also the time when many of the "dreams" of your youth are finally buried. Not because you are necessarily unsuccessful, but because you realise that even success is inevitably a struggle. But it is also the time of life where you as a man start building a legacy - and the memories of you that your kids will carry with them.
I have 0 respect for the man-boys in their flashy cars. I have respect for the Dad I saw on the tram yesterday, dirty clothes from work, shopping bag in one hand, daughter in the other. No matter your background or ethnicity, those are the strong men that make life better for everyone.
