Not just ecologically disastrous, but also a classist/casteist #Diwali . A certain class of people burst most of the crackers. Another class of people deal with the toxic hazardous waste. Corporation workers told me they are having breathing issues after sweeping today's streets.

So disappointing,sad that us conservationists part of large conservation orgs seem to be spending so much more of our time,mind space, resources on vanity projects,awards,big showy events these days-and much less on on-ground activism,engaging with policy,paying our people better
