Why do you think so many Boards are so reactive instead of proactive when it comes to security? Most just wait for a catastrophe until they provide any type of reasonable preventative security budget. It seems extremely counterproductive and irresponsible.
It should be illegal to put a @Cheesecake Factory within 5 miles of a residential neighborhood
Having worked with professionals in both physical and technical security, I’ve seen security teams repeatedly pushing for preventative security budgets that consistently get denied by the Board. They seem very reactive instead of preventative when it comes to security investments. Why is that?
Ummmmm… I can’t say this was the best design choice. I can imagine this went through a pretty extensive approval process, which means there were a bunch of people in a room that were like “This is PERFECT!” 🤣 How did this happen lol?
Happy Patch Wednesday!

I don’t know if the general public really understands the massive scale of the number of websites/applications this affects.
Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.

Critical thinking is almost obsolete in the up-and-coming generation. I think we need to remove computers from classrooms and go back to traditional library research and handwritten schoolwork, at least through 8th grade. What’s causing men to resent woman so hardcore now-a-days? Recently I engaged with a post that took off, and my god, there’s an abnormal amount of men who loathe women. What’s the cause? The online dating scene? I’ve never online dated but I’ve read a ton of dating stories where women treat men like trash. Overexposure on social media? Seriously, why do you think there’s this level of resentment?
This guy flew into our yard tonight and the tools that exist today to clean up images are kind of mind blowing. 🦉
Why is the job market so screwed up right now? THIS is exactly what I’ve been trying to bring public awareness to over the last few years. It’s out of control.
“Federal officers confiscated more than 100 devices from laptop farms in North Texas. These setups allowed North Korean operatives to land remote American jobs and send millions of dollars back to North Korea.”

I seriously underestimated how the wrong router set up could fuck up every connected device in your house. The amount of frustration that could’ve been avoided over the last 6 years is mind blowing and annoying.
