My heart is broken. My cousin has passed away.
His mother passed long before him. He grew up without a mother, he struggled alone in this life, and now he is gone too.
He had no insurance, not because he didn't care, but because he was poor and just trying to survive. He was doing his best for his family.
Now his family is left with nothing. No mother, no son, no money to bury him. How do we bury him with dignity?
I am begging you, please help us. Even R10, R20, R50 will help us buy a coffin and give him a proper send-off.

If you remember why Herman Mashaba stood up against Helen Zille and eventually walked away from the DA in 2019, you will understand why some of us question her political leadership today. Their disagreement was not simply about personalities,it involved serious differences over racial inequality, poverty, transformation and whose interests government should prioritise. Mashaba openly challenged what he believed was resistance to his pro-poor agenda. Before blindly defending political leaders, we must understand their history, their policies and what they stand for. Political history matters, and South Africans must never stop asking difficult questions.

There is corruption in the DA, there is a whole fresh scandal about a fellow siphoning money out SA. My point is upliftment in material terms will trump everything. Even if a party was saintly , if they were incaple of upliftment , they would be voted out. In your response say "ignoring the poorest" and you think that's not an economic problem...you say no drinking water and you think that's not socio-economic problem..
.Also, James you summarize poor people to just wanting running water, they want running and some ..

12-year-old Anothando Nomnganga has been missing since Monday, 19 October 2026. She was last seen in Imizamo Yethu, Hout Bay, Cape Town.
Anothando is a learner at Oranjekloof Moravian Primary School. She has dreadlocks and a dark complexion.
Her family is appealing to the public for help in locating her.
