Not great. But I'm not stopping.
New video drops tonight at 7pm. Working on better thumbnails and stronger first 30 seconds. Let's see if it moves.
Designed Communi, an all-in-one platform for creators to run their community, courses and payments in one place.
Light and dark mode, both done properly.
Short getaway to Slovenia with friends.
Funny how the best ideas never show up at the desk. One quiet view and suddenly the problem you've been stuck on all week makes sense.
Stepping away is part of the work.
Most people quit a new app before they ever see why it's good.
I see this in almost every SaaS product I look at. The product itself is great, but getting into it feels like filling out a tax form. Username, email, password, company size, role, how did you hear about us, a product tour, an invite your team screen. By the time the user could actually do something, they're gone.
When I designed onboarding for Promote, the whole idea was the opposite. Sign up in one short step, then straight into launching your first campaign. Three clear steps, a progress bar so you always know where you are, and a live preview so you see the result while you're still setting it up.
No tour, no fluff. You learn the product by using it.
That's the rule I follow on every project now: cut everything that isn't needed for the first win, and make that first win impossible to miss.
I recorded a video going through how I approach this on real products, and put the full onboarding flow into a Figma file you can duplicate and use for your own SaaS.
