This woman’s story, and so many like it, this is the reality that Michigan Republicans are choosing. They’ve had control of the state Senate for 40 years. Every time we’ve introduced legislation to repeal the ban and pass a new law, they’ve blocked it.
Any day now, #SCOTUS will deliver its ruling on Dobbs. If #Roe falls, Michigan returns to a barbaric 1931 law still on the books. Instead of taking up @senerikageiss’s bill to repeal that law or my Reproductive Health Act bill, the GOP are fighting FOR the 1931 law. And worse.
