I am receiving no payment for this post. I used to be a Party-Supporting Republican but that ended many years ago with the GOP moving further and further to the left. I'm still registered as a Republican so I can vote in Republican primaries. I have and will never vote for a Democrat without a total wholesale change to their ideology and Party. Last week, I voted early for a straight Republican ticket in Texas Early Voting. I despise Gov. Greg Abbott and what he has done to Texas. Same with Lt Gov Dan Patrick. Both are dangerous Globalists. Yet I voted for them. I have been criticized for not voting for a true conservative as a write-in over Abbott. Why did I vote for him? Because he can win while the true conservative cannot. It's the same old story we conservatives face every two years. Greg Abbott is less worse than Democrat Gina Hinojosa. In Abbott, I voted for a candidate who I agree with 40% of the time vs another with whom I agree on nothing. I would have liked to have voted for conservative Doc Pete Chambers who primaried Abbott for Texas Governor in March. But only 19% of Republicans voted in the primary this past March. So I'm stuck with Greg Abbott. But being stuck with Abbott is still better than being stuck with a socialist maniac in Gina Hinojosa. I posted a week or two ago that there must be a reckoning in the Republican Party between the RINO Globalists or Neocons and small-government, low taxes, America First conservatives after the midterms. We can never again be forced again to vote for those we detest because they have a R after their name. Greg Abbott can send me $57,000 if he likes for this 'endorsement.' I'd probably donate it to a true conservative candidate for Governor in the next primary.
