Replying to @DrFrankTurek
Jesus of Nazareth died and rose from the dead.He predicted it. Roman and Jewish authorities confirmed the execution. The tomb was empty. Over 500 people claimed they saw him alive afterward, including skeptics and enemies who had every reason to deny it. Most of those witnesses were later killed for refusing to recant. People die for what they believe is true. They do not die for what they know is a lie. No other major religion rests on a founder who claimed to be God, predicted his own death and resurrection, and then had that claim tested in public history. If the resurrection happened, everything else follows: He is who He said He is, sin is real, forgiveness is available, and death is not the end. If it didn’t happen, the whole thing is false. The evidence is the empty tomb and the transformed witnesses. That is the case.
I'd have to talk fast, but there it is.
If someone plays Beethoven badly, you don’t blame Beethoven. Don’t blame the Lord when people misrepresent Him.

You cannot vote to kill babies then sing “Oh how I love Jesus” on Sunday.
Abortion is murder.
All great points from Allie Beth…
There will be lots of policy wonks giving you analysis in the coming days, and they will all have good points. But let me focus on some less policy-driven - but very real - reasons I think Republicans lost so handily last night.
1. People are tired. After working so hard for a seemingly impossible win in 2024, another (perhaps bigger and uglier) fight erupted in 2025 after Charlie was murdered that fractured the right, demoralized the base, and made people want to disentangle themselves from politics altogether.
2. Bad Republican candidates. For example, as much as Talarico makes the normal person’s skin crawl, Paxton, to many people, is worse. They see an uneasy look, an off-putting vibe, a storied past, and what appears to be apathy. Even people who loathe Talarico couldn’t bring themselves to vote for Paxton.
3. Trump doesn’t have his aura right now. Can’t even blame the media for this one. He comes across as dismissive of economic concerns. His Truth Social is pettier than ever. He’s making weird comments about people’s a**es (not kidding), making him come across as unserious when voters are hurting. This can be fine if things are getting done. But when they’re not, it’s just annoying.
4. The loss of Charlie. We may never know the extent of his unifying power and activism, but I think we understand it more now. His connection the White House, his finger on the pulse of conservative/independent concerns, his ability to bolster enthusiasm, his effectiveness in getting out the vote, especially among young men… All of that is now missing and sorely missed.
There’s a lot more, of course. The war costing more than anyone wanted. Prices that are crushing the average family. Republican-approved immigration, causing huge demographic and cultural shifts, which are inherently destabilizing and demoralizing. Failure of congress to pass the SAVE Act and other important legislation. Democrats’ demure-but-deadly strategy to keep most of their candidates out of the headlines while doggedly getting out the vote.
Republicans have a lot to learn in a short amount of time. Will we?
All this to say… there’s reason to be concerned, yes, but not to be discouraged. God’s eternal plan of redemption is always going off without a hitch. He’s never taken aback. He never has anxiety. He’s never wondering what the outcomes will be. He’s in control.
We trust in His total sovereignty while also recommitting ourselves in seeking the welfare of the city in which He has providentially placed us (Jeremiah 29:7). We’ve got work to do!
I’m no fan of either political party. But one party embraces abortion, promotes the mutilation of genitals, doesn’t believe in our Creator’s mandate that marriage is to be between one man and one woman, and they are pushing our Creator out of society. How does that square with Christianity? And what about President Trump’s sins? He is a flawed man. So was Moses, King David, the Apostle Paul, and Peter. But YHWH (God) did some of His greatest work through those flawed people. President Trump might be a flawed person, like we all are, but he believes in the sanctity of life and he believes that our nation must maintain favor with our Creator or we are doomed.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (NLT)
Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

To everyone worried about Bottoms as Governor, go ahead and unclench your bottoms.
Is Bottoms winning good? No.
Does it mean she will be as bad of a governor as she was mayor? Most likely yes.
Does it mean there are roughly two million morons in this state? Also yes. The same ones that Stacey had four years ago.
The real problem isn’t them. After all, you can’t fix stupid. The real problem is the nearly 3.5 million eligible voters in the state that didn’t vote at all. You’re the real problem.
Your selfishness is evident in so many problems we face as a society. Not voting says you’re lazy, entitled, and not willing to stand up for what’s right. Basically the same things the leftist agenda is built around, and even though it’s frustrating that someone could actually vote for Bottoms, it’s far more aggravating those who just flat out didn’t vote.
As my grandfather says, “It’s pure sorriness.” And he’s right. It is.
But the good news is we as a state won’t have to be sorry just because you’re sorry. Georgia will be fine either way. Republicans always have a majority in the House and Senate at the state level, and as a result the governor is more of a glorified figurehead with not much effect when they’re on the opposition side.
We will survive, Georgia will continue to thrive (despite Keisha), and it’s still a great state to call home.
All choices have consequences, and to all the Georgians that “chose to not vote,” you got exactly what you voted for.
Only 17% of Evangelical Christians voted in yesterday’s election, compared to 23% in 2024. Both numbers represent a sad turnout for people who are supposed to represent Christ as the salt of the Earth. If Christianity becomes illegal in America, they must bear some responsibility.
Sobering scripture passage… (Deuteronomy 28:43-45 NLT) 43 “The foreigners living among you will become stronger and stronger, while you become weaker and weaker. 44 They will lend money to you, but you will not lend to them. They will be the head, and you will be the tail!
45 “If you refuse to listen to the LORD your God and to obey the commands and decrees he has given you, all these curses will pursue and overtake you until you are destroyed.

I don't think most Christians in Texas understand the spiritual reality of what is happening. This is bigger than an election. Republican or Democrat. Most Christians are comfortable playing church, but what is coming next will expose who is really living for Christ. God help us.
Robby Starbuck hits the nail on the head. Great analysis!
The recipe for a bloodbath:
Iran war (especially taking this long) = turns off the no more wars coalition
Congress not passing SAVE America Act = lose more base voters and election integrity
People feel their wallets getting lighter = lose some lean right normies who just want affordability.
Not empowering Elon to go all the way with DOGE = more base voters stay home feeling nothing will ever change in the bureaucracy.
Self important podcasters and influencers spent more time jockeying for attention by fighting with each other than fighting for the polices we want = Lose the interest of swing voters and splinter the already irritated base.
Congress refused to actually run a national narrative and if they did, even I don’t know what it was = lose fence sitters who want a plan.
No accountability for Epstein associates = Turns off base voters and MAGA/MAHA moms
Put all of it together and young men are irritated so they stayed home too.
We’ll have time to talk about how we fix this but right now it’s important to be honest about why we’re in this moment tonight. And don’t try to tell me the election was rigged. It wasn’t rigged. We got our asses kicked. If we want to fix it, we have to acknowledge the ass kicking and get to work.
Daniel 2:21 (NLT)
“He controls the course of world events; he removes kings and sets up other kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the scholars.” I take comfort in those passages today. America isn’t mentioned in the end times prophecies. So, more than ever before, we better have our spiritual bags packed and keep them by the door.
Incumbents since 1960 have been reelected 85% of the time - 90 to 98% in recent years. Most voters don’t pay attention. They go into the voting booth and figure, well I’m okay, maybe the incumbent is doing a good job. Better to vote for the incumbent than take a chance on someone else. But this time the gas pumps and grocery stores informed even those who don’t pay attention and they voted against the incumbents they thought were responsible.

Looks like we narrowly escaped real disaster in Florida. I blame the Iran war, inflation and congress wasting a generational trifecta. Oh and Congressional leadership for largely being out of touch dorks and/or RINO’s. People are over it and want more results + their cost of living to go down. Thankfully Dems didn’t get the Senate seat or Governorship.
This is the front lawn of North Metro Baptist Church. It’s a beautiful reminder of the price paid by our Creator, YHWH, in order for our soul to be able to spend eternity in the heavenly realm. The Creator of the Universe literally emptied Himself of heavenly privilege to live for 33 years in a fleshly body He created for us. But his was not to be a life of fun and frolic. His life began with the express purpose of dying a horrific death in order to cleanse us of the sin that would prevent us from living in the heavenly realm after these Earthly shells are worn out. And all we must do to have eternal life is repent (turn from sin) and place our trust (faith) in YHWH, in the name of Yeshua (English Jesus), the name that literally means, “YHWH SAVES.” Why wouldn’t you trust Him and secure for your soul a place in the heavenly realm?
