By this point, most of us have already been using AI in our workflows. However the unlikely case that you haven't, or if you could use a primer on how to think about the different popular LLMs (claude vs. chatgpt etc), this is a great entry level overview: oneusefulthing.org/p/using-a…

After almost 4 years in the Polkadot ecosystem, it's time for me to hang up my hat -- today is my last day. Over that period of time, I've been so impressed by the vision, drive, creativity, and brilliance of people in this space (not to mention the pure adrenaline!).

And while it's been hard for me to imagine working anywhere else (still can't, to be honest), it's time for new challenges and new dreams. I feel so lucky to have worked alongside some truly amazing folks, like @FabianGompf @bjornwgnr @USCHill @BillLaboon and @davidhawig

as well as others like @KarimJDDA @alexdimes7 @KayTeeElle @Nate_Ham1 and @GldnCalf and so so many more over the years. Thanks so much for making every day in this ecosystem adventure! More to come 🚀

New pod just dropped with none other than @BillLaboon and @korihiggins of the @Web3foundation 🤝 Thank you both for joining the pod! I had an amazing time, and I'm now seriously considering moving to Zug! Here are some highlights 👇

I’m so happy to see this initiative come to life. Polkadot takes such pride in its tech (as we should!), but we SO need additional support on the GTM side — and I’m happy to report that ERA represents a team of experts in that arena, specifically as it applies to the US.
🌐 We’re delighted to unveil the Polkadot x ERA Global Program — a dynamic 12-week initiative designed to help Polkadot startups scale up and break into the U.S. market. Learn more about it on our medium page📕medium.com/web3foundation/an…

This is a real first for us since I’ve been here at least— a program with real support for launching successful businesses from the commercial side which breaks us out of what can be a Web3 echo chamber. Really hoping for a successful pilot so we can replicate this kind of thing!

Well said @bjornwgnr and @pierreaubert and look at those 100 watt smiles 💡
⭕@Polkadot in 2025⭕ Parity CEO @bjornwgnr is optimistic from a technological perspective "with upgrades coming, new partnerships & an ever growing community" Engineering VP @pierreaubert says Polkadot is now "really decentralized & powerful enough to support large companies"

Listening to the inimitable @BillLaboon at unDavos, talking about the economy of the future. And check out those socks! Legend.

Day 1 at Davos: unlike previous years, Web3 presence is practically nonexistent. In its place, AI is plastered absolutely everywhere. A few projects have space on the promenade, among them Project Liberty, Circle, CV labs, and Coinbase, but I didn’t see one protocol represented.

Asking around about this yielded a few different answers - one person said that Web3 had given up on the Davos crowd, another said that Davos as in the town had made it harder for Web3 companies to rent space, but for whatever reason the absence is conspicuous.

This is not to say that there aren’t great Web3 events happening, and leaders across projects still came — I went to a great event at CV labs this evening as one example — but the headline projects and big ads about the Web3 future from years past are gone. Everyone’s quieter.

So much of the web3 conversation has become about the market movements since the election — and while I understand why, we need to remember the long term, ambitious vision of web3, which is far nobler than simply chasing upside. I wrote about that here: cointelegraph.com/news/crypt…

Spammening report dropped. The numbers speak for themselves. Polkadot's live sister network @kusamanetwork officially achieved 143,343 TPS using 23/100 cores with rock-solid performance. That means 623K TPS at 100/100 cores 🤯 polkadot.com/spammening

I dislike how right my teachers were in that writing something down helps you learn it. When I have to learn a new thing at work I've begun forcing myself to write an essay about it, and it's incredibly effective.

The production & execution of the Spammening livestream was simply flawless. From the promotion, to graphics/dashboard, to presentation, to pacing... All 💯 This is decentralized collaboration at its finest. Well done @distractivexyz @paritytech @GldnCalf @amforcag 👏
