I can’t be the first one to do this… right?
Just built a python script using one of @fofrAI’s models on @replicate to map out a grid of images of my face looking in every direction on my portfolio website, tracking the mouse on screen.
Should I drop the code on GitHub?
I literally built pocketctrl.com to do this. Controlling my Mac mini from my MacBook and iPhone.
I still use it every day for a few projects.
I added ‘computer use’ to PocketCtrl so I can manage tasks from my iPhone while my computer sits at home.
Free and open source, just paste in your own API key.
Just tried out GPT-6 Luna and its computer use is impressively cheap for what it’s able to do. It’s been very useful while traveling and when I can’t be at my computer but need to do something efficiently.
Let me know what you think!
Try it out at PocketCtrl.com
This is actually insane
Is he using Xcode on his phone… on an airplane??
Yep. And you can do it too. For free.
3 months ago I was planning a trip to Europe with my girlfriend. But as a startup founder, one thing kept nagging me: what if something breaks while I'm gone?
I also had agents grinding through a big task, and every so often they'd hit something that needed a human. A login, a popup, a click in the browser. I needed a real window into my Mac.
Every remote app I tried was paywalled, clunky, or impossible to configure. So I built my own.
I expected a quick fix for the trip. Instead I've used it almost every day for 3 months. My laptop controls my Mac mini through it too. Then friends started begging for a copy, and there was no reason left to keep it to myself.
So the whole thing is now free on GitHub and the App Store.
Open source, no account, no trial, no email. Read it, audit it, fork it, whatever you want. I just wanted this tool to exist.
It runs over your own Tailscale tailnet, which is also free. No PocketCtrl account, no servers in the middle, no data handed to anyone. Everything is end-to-end encrypted, so it's just your phone talking directly to your Mac.
I built it for how we actually work now: a CLI so my agents can launch and control it, a low data mode with adjustable frame rate and quality for spotty hotel wifi, and dozens of little things added the moment I needed them.
As more of our time shifts to long-running agents, a window from your phone to your Mac becomes essential. Codex and Claude ship their own remotes, but there's always that one thing you can't do without seeing the screen. Soon you'll leave your computer at home, pull out your phone for 30 seconds to handle it, then get back to living.
PocketCtrl.com is out now. Free and open source for Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
Enjoy ❤️

Umm why is my girlfriend on my timeline @kingkalixta
My agent takes 3+ min to cook now on every prompt.
So I just work on 3 projects at once.
Otherwise you end up wasting half of the day just sitting there waiting on it.

introducing... a brand new pally 👋
pally is an ai assistant that lives in your texts, it connects to your DMs and helps you stop ghosting people
pally sees who you've left on read and replies for you, in your tone, with your context, while escalating to you if it needs to
it's also a full general agent, so it can automate your manual workflows, book your flights, buy things with locked one-time cards, and drive a browser to do basically anything else
use this link for a free month of pro: my.pally.com/r/GIFTX-TXKHM4
stop ghosting people. text pally today. 🫶

The whole Iterative team will be in SF this week, DM me if you’re building something cool and want to meet
I think one of the biggest things Codex needs is better timing control. If it estimates that a download task will take 40 minutes, it shouldn’t keep checking every two minutes. It should wait 30–35 minutes, check again, and adjust its estimate for when to check next.
@thsottiaux @ajambrosino
Not using the API saved me $200,000?
@OpenAI please confirm. – at San Francisco, CA
Can we add a “Codex” shortcut for chat so when I search codex it doesn’t show up with nothing @Javi @ajambrosino @apanasenko
Lfg first copy cat 😩
I mean look at the app screens, literally identical. I feel you @BusDownBonnor @aryanagab
