Trying something new! OCE is where my esport passion began and I couldn't be happier to help it grow. Massive shoutout to @brendypls for recommending me. I'll still be doing community stuff for WC, no love lost there.

These eboy thirst posts are old and tired, i feel like they should be mixing it up you know? its always about wanting obedient egirls, but never proving they could protect them. Maybe if they had a large bubble shield, and idk a lightning canon to fight back?

WILDWOOD is one of the greatest artistic and technical achievements in filmmaking. Thereโ€™s a battle sequence that is so violent, vivid, and masterfully executed that my jaw was on the floor. Itโ€™s a real testament to the visceral feeling that only human-made art can create.

LAIKA's โ€˜WILDWOODโ€™ has the largest battle sequence ever for a stop-motion film. โ€ข Spans 12 minutes with over 400 shots โ€ข Contains approx 3,000 characters โ€ข 5 distinct sets were made โ€” all combined were larger than the length of a building โ€ข One person was specifically hired to track scarring & scratching on the lead character throughout the battle to ensure maximum detail (Source: ew.com/wildwood-filmmakers-fโ€ฆ)

The artistic accomplishment of WILDWOOD is undeniable. A testament to craftsmanship and imagination, jaw-dropping stop motion that may never be replicated again. I just wish the story met that level of achievement, often lacking the grandeur and ingenuity of the shell it occupies

My jaw was on the floor for the entire second half of WILDWOOD. A towering achievement of truly epic fantasy with levels of scale and sincerity I haven't seen in years. I can't think of a stop-motion movie since The Wrong Trousers where the action sequences were this phenomenal.

โ€œAnimation is a medium, not a genre,โ€ says Laikaโ€™s David Burke, as โ€œWildwoodโ€ brings a PG-13 rating to mainstream Western animation. Its fantasy violence and mature themes put the film in a category studios have often avoided, as Brad Bird's "Ray Gunn" and Universal's "Forgotten Island" both had to make cuts to avoid a PG-13 rating. But is it high time major studios embraced this middle ground? @DrewTailored unpacks why this "no man's land" exists in animation and what's being left on the table: mrf.lu/2vBNZ

Iโ€™ve been sitting in my car for like 10 minutes. Not a single one of us in that theater could believe what we saw. The most important movie of the last 30 years how the fuck do you make this.
