🐹 I got in a taxi in Korea and the taxi driver told me "BTS saved my life"- 🐥 You're having conversations with taxi drivers? Do you usually start your ride with "Hello, it's me BTS' Jin" 🐹 No, it usually starts with "By any chance, are you.." 💜 Ahhhhh! 🐹 Then I go, yep, you're right, that's none other than me~ THAT'S NONE~ OTHER THAN ME~ 🐨 They go like "You look familiar~?" 🐥 YUP, that's me 🐹 Nah not like that, they just go "By anyyy chance?" And it feels kinda off to lie, so I just accept it like yep, that's me 🐥 So what did they say? 🐹 They said that their life was saved thanks to BTS. He was an ahjussi like a much older man than me and explained it in detail, like how his business failed, everything went down,  and his life was so difficult, and he approached bts' music at that time and said that the lyrics were so beautiful and pretty- to be honest, Namjoon played a huge role in that, it was so beautiful that it gave him strength.. 🐿 This is such a unique situation like 🐨 Yeah, taxi driver is a first 🐱 I've heard that a lot from Koreans overseas 🐹 I've heard it at restaurants too! 🐿 Restaurants, yes!

This is what being ARMY means. We leave the world better than we found it. We behave in ways BTS would be proud of.
reminder that lula thanked brazilians fandons. FANS have a lot of responsibility for this win. while the brazilian & international media remained silent about what was happening, FANS used their platforms to bring the news to the artists and thus to the +

A very long thread of my feelings after visiting the RM x @SFMOMA twice. It’s just my thoughts so feel free to not read them. I'm only posting them in case anyone is curious how this one army interpreted it this one time. I wish I could talk with KNJ about it. +

Why did this make me angry? Perhaps it’s my certain age or my lived experience as a woman but I do not find it romantic at all that this artist did not see his wife for the woman she presently was but as the younger version of herself. Society can make women invisible and devalued as they age out of sexual object and/or childbearing age brackets. I don’t presume to know why Bonnard didn’t memorialize the physical truth of his wife as she aged. But I know I don’t like the way it comports with the way women are discarded all too regularly as they mature. Somehow aging makes all sorts of things better - wine, cheese, etc. - but not women. My friend who went to the exhibition with me actually initially assumed the wife had died. But when she reread the placard, and realized the wife was alive the whole time, she was as mad as I was about this work. +

All the so-called negative feelings I had in response to this spectacularly profound exhibition were and are welcomed and not exactly enjoyed but necessary. The most apt words that came to mind to describe why I believe that to live a full life we must also feel very uncomfortable and even painful feelings was J-Hope’s verse in Normal: “How I'm 'posed to feel? Used to think that I was built with a heart made of steel Now I understand the truth, some pain don't heal If everything's just happy, mm, that ain't real (That ain't real)” RM x SFMOMA was challenging and painful and very very real. I wish I could thank RM for opening his mind, his heart, his personal collection, and even a version of his home to us. I don’t ever want to be an intrusion on him and his peace. I don’t ever want to make his mind so preoccupied with cautions that he can’t roam and think freely. But I am so grateful he shared this precious collection and his thoughts with us. I, for one, hope I am a slightly more evolved me than I was before I went into it. Between You and Me, RM, I think I am.
