The more I learn about the Bauhaus school of thought, the more I find it detestable. To view ornamentation as waste, as superfluous, is either heartless or soulless, likely both.
Bring back art deco & nouveau, and classical design.

The H-1B sham is unraveling at every level. While we wait for Congress to finally end H-1B, further action can be taken at the state level.
We call for Governor Abbott's state agency H-1B freeze to be extended indefinitely and applied to any entity receiving state funding or financial incentives.
Resolved at our recent convention:
Immigration policy must be driven by the present, not the past, and business leaders are too terrified of the left AND the right to acknowledge this.
Recent H1B discourse revolves around a longstanding immigration sleight-of-hand. H1B proponents point to exceptional people who came here decades ago as if they represent the current state of the program in the same way that advocates for low-skill/illegal immigration point to very favorable immigrant crime/welfare/education/etc statistics that do, in truth, have them beating native-born Americans on many fronts.
It is all a sham. The world that created those statistics, people, and businesses no longer exists. Brilliant but desperate Vietnamese fathers who fled communism have nothing in common with young men from Honduras, and the crime rates/economic acccomplishments/integration of the former should not be used to justify mass migration of the latter.
Nor should the accomplishments of people who managed to get an H1B visa in the 90s (when the program was capped to just 65,000 visas) be used to justify staffing agencies and tech companies using the program to replace American jobs for less money. The obvious abuse going on is politically suicidal and something that even the most ardent supporters of the visa should want to crack down on, no immigration program can possibly survive the obvious and widely known reality of what is going on. I am a longtime outspoken advocate for stealing the best people from other countries to make our own better, runaway abuse of existing programs robs the government of the worker trust required to do so.
Lots of people in the tech space know this. Even the dumb people are smart enough to see it. Nobody actually believes these are all incredible people with unique talents performing jobs no American can. Everyone knows the guy in Cubicle Bay 7 doing mediocre but functional web design for half the salary of his American peers is no savant and doesn't meet the statutory requirements for his H-1B visa.
Unfortunately, most people with power or profile are terrified that any public statement or acknowledgement will get them attacked by the right (You guys have been screwing over American workers for years with visa abuse, you damn hypocrite!) or the left (You are racist, sexist, misogynist, and sucking up to this fascist administration!). Or, more likely, both. I know too many tech execs in particular who feel trapped, like the only winning move is to stay silent.
JD is blowing the whole thing wide open by putting facts and stats front and center that nobody wants to engage with. Critics will talk about anything and everything else but these damning facts and this obvious truth, that H1B visas serve neither their original purpose, legal purpose, invented purpose, or the American people.
I will say what no other politician will say: young men, I will be your champion.
Whether you are a coder, a roughneck, a banker, or a trucker, if you are a young man, I want you to have a fulfilling career that not only provides the necessities, but empowers you to prosper.
Professor tried to be the meme and was instantly culture mogged by a White boy in motion.
College professor left completely stumped after @KaiSchwemmer started talking in Spanish after the professor said he welcomed mass migration.
Schwemmer: Would it be an issue if every city spoke a different language?
Professor: No.
Schwemmer: "Entonces sería bastante difícil si estuviéramos hablando, entendernos, porque nosotros no podemos entender lo que estamos diciendo y no podemos alcanzar tener respeto mutuo."
Brilliant.

“they can't conceptualize that 1 mile of the california rail costs more to develop than all of spacex's total spend, of all time”
Holy cow we really DID give up space to coddle the bottom quintile (and corrupt state govts).
Divert all future rail funding to @SpaceX
it's truly wild to think just how much of socialist rhetoric comes down to being economically illiterate and stupid
like they literally do not know how shares work
when they rant about billionaires they think they literally have a scrooge mcduck pile of gold in the basement
when they talk about raising taxes they don't know the US has one of the most progressive systems of all time and that the top 1% already pays nearly ** HALF** of all taxes
they have never run a lemonade stand
they have never built anything
their mindset is pure envy, pure greed
they will simultaneously hate Elon (despite him producing probably 100k jobs in his lifetime, and making many people into millionaires or billionaires) and idolize Ilhan Omar (despite her defrauding taxpayers)
they can't conceptualize that 1 mile of the california rail costs more to develop than all of spacex's total spend, of all time
they are fixed-pie thinkers who cannot conceptualize that if they want nice things they should build things
takers, thieves, malcontents, simpletons. not makers.
everything else in the dysfunctional, self-destructive idiocy they produce is just downstream of them being stupid and greedy
The young men & women of @YRsOfTexas are a force to be reconned with.
The kids are alright. 🔥
STEVE BANNON: In all the years I have been speaking, all of them, to every group, we've never had, ever, where I am the least controversial speaker.
I looked at this thing and I said, "Laster, you guys have lost your mind." Stephen Wolfe on Christian nationalism. It's a way, it's a way forward, and you know thaHe makes the most compelling case of it. You've got Brother Hal, a mass deportation coalition that came by and said, "Hey, we've gotta do this. We gotta get it done." You've got Noah Bulch, one of the great of the great young, let's say, call them philosophers, Political philosophy.
The most important race in this nation is Bo French and the Railroad Commission head because of what Bo French stands for.
Needless to say, my 3yo was VERY impressed and now I need to grind even harder to afford a Roadster in 2028.
Trump snuck the re-normalization of death by firing squad onto the national stage by goading all the liberals into virtue signal over live-streaming it.
Now he’s conceded on streaming it and they think they got one over on him.
Genius.
