Time to post my biannual “how artificially compressed are British wages”. Rising minimum wage and a 50k+ p/a tax bracket that runs to 40% of earnings, and hasn’t adjusted for inflation. This form of artificial wage compression has turned everyone in Britain into low productivity tax cattle - you have zero incentive to become anything other here. This is also a form of ambition and productivity compression. Source, ONS, Fig 5: ons.gov.uk/employmentandlabo…

England in ten years

The left spent decades pushing statistics showing how brutal certain societies are for women. Then they demanded that we mass import men from those societies into the UK. Eventually the data showed that, surprise surprise, men from those societies presented a far higher risk to women's safety. To deal with the fact that their policies had now put millions of women at even greater risk of harm - they simply pretended not to understand anything.

This is probably why nobody bothers to work hard. There's no benefit to it.
It gets worse. The minimum wage is set to rise again in the UK. Our wage distribution is already flatter than the Communist Soviet Union's, and it's getting flatter still. The pay gap between professional and menial work keeps shrinking. It's actually so over. The only thing you can do is stack hard assets, preferably Bitcoin, and have an exit plan because this does not get better any time soon.

There’s basically no price differentiation in the entire bottom half of the labour market and then people act surprised when gluts and shortages emerge. Obviously, when all jobs pay the same, people will choose between them based solely on factors like which jobs are nicer to do.
This is totally crazy if true. The median hourly pay for a 21 year old was £13.00 in 2025...

An increase to £13.20p/h equates to a minimum wage of £27,456, based on a 40 hour week. Once you factor in employers NI and basic pension contributions, the MINIMUM cost to hire a 21 year old for a company would be £31,461. This is before you factor in any overarching business costs like office space, laptops, phone, software, training, support staff, vehicles etc. This is going to be devastating to SME's who cant put together a simple 12 month budget without the goalposts being moved & their margins squeezed. It'll also be catastrophic to youngsters opportunities because businesses will simply not be able to afford to hire them. What's also incredible is that anything above £50,270 is seen as 'high earnings' in the UK and is taxed at 40%! We are governed by financially and economically illiterate morons. This will not end well.

Even if there were true (it isn't, as men work harder once they're married with kids and waste less money on frivolous nonsense), what does it matter? Who cares about "compounding" if your line dies with you? What would the point of it all be? There's no reason to plant forests in the shade of which you won't sit if the state or some stupid NGO will get them when you die

I genuinely don't see how people have this much admin to deal with.
I've gone full Grokbot. It checks email, DMs, mentions, and LinkedIn every hour. It flags anything interesting, drafts replies, and tosses the other 99%. It literally feels like having a personal secretary 🤯 And 2 days in I'm like how did I live without this 😂

easyJet has announced a massive partnership with @Starlink to bring high-speed satellite internet to its aircraft for the first time The airline carries around 100 MILLION passengers annually and operates more than 350 aircraft across 1,200 routes, making this another huge expansion for Starlink Aviation across Europe Here's what's coming: • Starlink installations across Airbus A320, A320neo, and A321neo aircraft • Rollout beginning in the first half of 2027 • Completion targeted for early 2028 • High-speed, low-latency internet for streaming, gaming, browsing, and working • Connectivity from takeoff to landing What's even more interesting is that just nine months ago, easyJet said the economics of Starlink weren't working for them. Now they've officially signed a partnership with SpaceX Starlink continues expanding across the world's major airlines, bringing an entirely new standard of inflight connectivity to millions of passengers Even Europe's low-cost airlines are embracing Starlink

This is a supertrawler. One of 26 that operate in British waters. Together with the EU they scrape over 500,000 TONNES of fish from our sea a year. Leaving our fishermen on their knees and supermarkets importing the fish we eat from … China. Brexit allowed us to fix this devastating mess but we didn’t. Both Labour and Tories say they have no definition of a supertrawler, so they can ban them. How’s that sustainability goal working out?

imagine pulling up alongside this tiny dick little petrobitch in a Tesla roadster, speedmogging the fuck out of his lil toy, then hitting your boosters and flying away while giving the finger
I’ve done my share of high-speed autobahn driving in Germany but nothing like this. This is a Bugatti Chiron accelerating up to 417kph or just on 260mph! Absolutely insane speed!

In recent months, the Americans, French, Germans, and Israelis - our so-called “allies” - have either cast doubt on our sovereignty over the Falkland Islands or moved towards supplying weapons to Argentina, a country that continues to claim British territory as its own. President Trump has openly discussed reviewing America's position on the Falklands. French and German defence firms have offered Argentina new submarines, while Israel has already signed an agreement to supply its armed forces with weapons. What is our government doing in response? Nothing. We may not be the global superpower we once were, but we still have tremendous leverage over all of these countries and we should not be afraid of using it. And I don’t mean sending strongly-worded letters or summoning ambassadors. The government has already negotiated surrender deals over Chagos and Gibraltar. If we continue to allow our territorial integrity to be questioned without consequence, we will lose all of our overseas territories and be left even more globally irrelevant than we already are.
