👀SNEAK PEEK: The first of more than 100 new publicly owned electric buses arrived in the Liverpool City Region this morning.
The fully electric double-deckers, which rolled off the ferry from Northern Ireland this morning, will start to enter driver training in the coming weeks before being rolled out into passenger service.

Something a bit different yesterday. I went along to @gonortheast’s launch event for their new batch of fully electric buses.
These 29 brand-new EVs will allow another 3 of their routes to transition to smoother, quieter, and greener electric operation.

The #GNESantaBus returned for its 6th year, travelling over 550 miles and once again spreading festive cheer to thousands of people across the #NorthEast.

Some of our drivers volunteer at Sunderland Soup Kitchen throughout the year, driving the mobile homeless support horse box through Sunderland, ensuring that support is provided to those who need it ❤️
Santa's team of elves also got involved last night, swapping wrapping presents for serving meals in the Soup Kitchen! 🍲
It was great to get involved with the incredible work that Sunderland Community Soup Kitchen do and lovely to bring joy to the local community with the Santa Bus 👏

🏥 Our Santa Bus and team visited Sunderland Royal Hospital with Louies Trust last night to deliver presents to children who are in hospital over the Christmas period.
🪀 Our colleagues have donated gifts to Louies Trust and helped to wrap the presents ready for them to be gifted.
🎁 All children received a present from Louies Trust and some children got onboard the Santa Bus to dance and sing to the music.
💫 We love being part of such an amazing cause, bringing joy to the children's faces and making Christmas at hospital that bit more magical.
Nice to see the little festive touch on the @gonortheast logo. Anyway, back in Tynemouth before MMM woke up and time to clean the windows and make hot food provisions for the trip. As

It was an absolute delight to meet Molly and her family this morning. We had a tour of the Santa Bus, a brand new bus and went through the bus wash too!

Hi all! VERY cheeky request. So, my little daughter LOVES buses. We often take her to the bus stop a little early so she can see them all go past and she gets proper hyped up at the bells and the wheels in motion. She also has extra needs, so can struggle in really busy spaces.
I don’t suppose anyone on Tyneside has connections with the bus companies for us to visit a bus depot around December time for her birthday? I would be forever indebted! @StagecoachNE @gonortheast @arrivanortheast
