Does anyone know what this #insect is? About 5 cm in length, flies and a very long non-barbed stinger. I’m based in Perth Scotland. Can’t deny it, took this photo and then scarpered 😨 #entemology
Two photos 4 years apart - my partner JR’s garden project. As you can see, in 2020 it was pretty bare but now it is full of pollinators, birds and beauty. He’s not with us to see the fruits of his labour but he would have loved it 🐝 🪶🪺🐞🦋🌻🌱❤️

We got this one from gannochy/kinnoull at about 11.30 pm yesterday evening. So amazing!
One cowslip left in MurrayRoyal hospital grounds which this week had hundreds of this native wildflower. This bank is next to the Leven Ward, with a sensory garden to help mental wealth and wellbeing. The irony was not lost on me. Why is @nhstayside grass cutting? #nomowsummer
Very much looking forward to the @scvotweet digital inclusion roadmap launch today. #onceforscotland #digitalinclusion
Not the greatest photo of such an amazing sight. A flock of about fifty #waxwings yesterday evening. Having travelled all the way from Scandinavia, they land in Morrisons Carpark in Perth, Scotland. 😁. They made such a wonderful sound as they moved about. @WaxwingsUK
When your mum puts out letter pretzels on a Saturday night and at the age of 54, you still can’t help yourself…😁
We’ve been blaming the sparrows for the destruction of the pea crop. Turns out it’s the border terrier who is the culprit. Pea thief! #btposse
It has been extremely busy recently on the Scottish economic policy front. I have written a LinkedIn article that considers the opportunity and risk presented by the current policy landscape in Scotland. linkedin.com/pulse/scotlands…
