Workarounds have a way of showing you exactly what needs to be automated next.
A plant built a drop zone last year, a workaround to keep a machine running while they figured out the real fix. This year the same team came back with a different question: how do we get rid of the four trucks completely? That's not a plant that failed to solve its problem. It's a plant whose workaround ended up writing the requirements doc for what to automate next, about a year before anyone would have called it that. Read your workarounds before you write the next one. The first one probably already told you what the real fix is.

The knowledge that keeps a plant running is often the hardest to replace. 👀 Routine #automation can help make time for passing it on.
There’s a file on every machine in a plant: what it cost, what it’s worth, when it needs replacing. There’s no file on the person who keeps those machines running. The workarounds, the warning signs he catches early, the fixes that were never written down anywhere. When he leaves, it all leaves with him. Writing it into a manual doesn’t work. This knowledge moves one way: he spends time with the next person and teaches them. Most experts never get that time, because their day is still full of routine work like hauling material. Take the routine work off his schedule. Training his replacement is worth more than his trips.

Heard a new one on a call recently: "You guys don't offer a milk run robot right now, like a robot waiter?" Very fair picture to have. Humanoids and delivery bots are all over the news right now. What we actually sell looks nothing like that.

It's a tow tractor that pulls a train of carts through forklift traffic, same loop, shift after shift, doing the boring part of a milk run so nobody has to walk it. Built for repetitive, mundane work, not for a headline. We built it for the job, which turns out to look like a heavy-duty tugger with a brain. So the answer I gave him: yes, we make your milk run robot. It just doesn’t look like a waiter.

Robotics keeps moving into harder problems. The interesting question now is less about whether a robot can perform a task and more about whether it can do it reliably in the environments where the work actually happens.
Top stories in robotics today: - DoorDash builds its own delivery drone - Dyna’s robot handles the entire laundry stack - ETH teaches disembodied robot hand to crawl - MIT puts living muscle into a paper-thin robot

It’s simple. Automate repetitive hauling without a capital request. 👇
The word that scares people off automation isn't “robot.” It's “project.” A project that requires huge capital investment, takes months to get up and running, and pulls your team away from the work they already have to do. Fortunately, automation doesn't have to work that way. We come to your facility, map the route, and train your team alongside us. No wires, no tape, no drilling into the floor or costly infrastructure changes. We can launch in as little as two weeks.

An AV creates the most value when it becomes part of the everyday operation. What we are seeing across the fleet is increasing utilization as customers incorporate autonomous material movement into their regular workflows.
Autonomous fleet utilization grew 45% quarter over quarter. Distance traveled was up 67%. Autonomous driving hours increased 55%. June was a record month for fleet activity. Real-world utilization is growing across deployed customer operations.

Robotics in manufacturing is about more than productivity. As adoption grows, manufacturers are also looking to automation to improve consistency and quality across their operations.
Key takeaway from @therobotreport’s State of Robots in Manufacturing: more than half of global manufacturers are adopting robots to improve quality. That’s an important shift in how manufacturers think about automation. It’s not just about doing more. It’s about doing it consistently. therobotreport.com/state-of-…

In case you missed it, @cyngn has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification. The certification provides independent validation of the systems and controls we have in place to protect information and manage security risk.
The Certification establishes internationally recognized information security controls as Cyngn advances toward SOC 2 Type II attestation. $CYN

For large manufacturers, repetitive material movement can create costs that extend beyond the labor required to move materials. Parts must arrive wherever they are needed, whenever they are needed, without disrupting production. The solution? #automation.
We’re excited to share a follow-on order for our DriveMod Tugger from a Fortune 100 heavy equipment manufacturer. The new deployment will support a material-handling application that moves components to a heavy-equipment assembly line, expanding the use of autonomous material handling across the customer’s operations. cyngn.com/pr/cyngn-expands-a… $CYN

Big numbers start small. For most plants it's one route, one tugger, and one less person driving pallets back and forth. Start ith one workflow, then watch it spread.
That’s a serious robotics footprint. 1M+ robots across 300+ sites shows just how quickly automation is scaling in real-world operations.

$AMZN is investing $100M+ in a new Indiana robotics plant that will help double its robot manufacturing footprint by 2028. Amazon has already deployed 1M+ robots across 300+ sites with robotics now assisting ~75% of customer orders.
