Bukele llegó a Washington ayer a reunión urgente con Donald Trump
Bukele llegó a Washington ayer miércoles 22 oct en la noche, según AP. No fue visita anunciada con anticipación, fue viaje de emergencia por los 4 salvadoreños supuestamente secuestrados por pandillas en Haití.
Hoy jueves 23 oct está en la Casa Blanca. Trump posteó en Truth Social: "¡Estoy deseoso de ver al presidente Bukele de El Salvador el lunes!", pero lo adelantaron a hoy por la crisis.
No hay foto oficial aún del encuentro de hoy, la Casa Blanca solo ha dicho que hablarán de "erradicar organizaciones terroristas y construir un futuro de prosperidad". Es una reunión a puerta cerrada, como la del 16 de julio del 2026.
Lo que Bukele ya consiguió antes de entrar:
1. Luz verde de facto de EEUU: El embajador de EEUU ante la ONU, Mike Waltz, ya respaldó la operación de rescate salvadoreña ayer en el Consejo Seguridad.
2. Despliegue inmediato: Ayer 22 oct aterrizaron 100 soldados de las fuerzas especiales salvadoreñas en Puerto Príncipe. Esta noche llegan otros 100, para un total 200. La Fuerza de Supresión de Pandillas de la ONU (GSF) confirmó la llegada de esos soldados "para apoyar operaciones de búsqueda y seguridad donde ocurrió el ataque".
3. Mandato expandido: La Ley salvadoreña del 10 oct cambió la misión de solo evacuación médica a "desplegar personal civil y militar según las necesidades de la misión". Ya no son técnicos, ahora sin fuerza de combate.
El ultimátum que llevó a Washington:
