Not sure if I'll end up on Mastodon or here: post.news/?r=dTSLw I'll try both for a while. Feel free to join me in either one or both!
It used to be that all the DST humor was just before or after the change. Now it's all year long! youtube.com/watch?v=hD4fJGR4… I hate to deprive the world of the jokes, but I still think it's worth it to #LockTheClock

By the way, this plays in to the theory that I've had for a while, that Big TV is behind the efforts to force us to keep changing the clock. sco.tt/time/2020/02/behind-t…

I wonder if the person running this account understands that DOT is the agency that controls Daylight Saving Time. Probably not, given that they got it backwards, and should be wishing people happy Standard Time. I mean, you don't say "happy old year"!
Happy daylight savings time except to those of you with small kids or pets. Turn your clocks back tonight ⏰ #DaylightSavings

Looks like I need to make a new post with the celebrities who want to #LockTheClock
Abolish Daylight Savings. That’s it. That’s the tweet.

I wrote previously about how the coverage of #DaylightSavingTime has changed, and here's a good example: washingtonpost.com/weather/2… I've been saying for years that a one-size-fits-all solution may not work, and this helps us see that clearly.

Here's my map. If I was king of the world, I'd say Mich., Ind., Ky., Tenn., N.D., S.D., Neb., and Kansas go to permanent Standard Time. The rest of the country goes to permanent DST. I am not, however, king, so I say it is up to the people of the states after we #LockTheClock

Thanks @ZachEClark for a fun, informative look at the issue, especially for Michiganders. (First time using that word.) audacy.com/podcasts/the-dail… #LockTheClock
"33 human deaths, 2,054 human injuries, and US$1.19 billion in collision costs annually" could be saved if we went to permanent DST in the U.S. Wow. I did not expect to see numbers that huge. Great study that I will add to the research page. sco.tt/time/research.html

I'm not sure why, but the media interest is much higher this year than last year. Here's a post with some great ones so far, and I think at least two more coming. sco.tt/time/2022/11/welcome-… And thanks to @NewsHour for FINALLY getting Buddy the recognition he deserves.

Just saw the PBS piece. Great job by @WmBrangham @Iancouzenz and the team, including Denver's own @bwillie, who got the B-roll of me taking photos to put on my blog, and the glamour shot of Buddy! Just to be meta, here's the photo I was taking 🙃🙂
