You are right about this. The rub comes at some point years in to a new platform when the desire to continue exponential growth means that it has to accelerate rage and disinfo. My hope for Mastodon is that it gets fun and helpful, and then is happy with that.

In Illinois, conservative papers spring to life in election season. They're full of attacks on Dems and just weird items made to look like local news, taking advantage of the erosion of newspapers.
There are 1200 such outlets nationally.

So this weekend is the change in Europe and England. Also the #Broncos play the Sunday after they get an extra hour of sleep in London, and then fly back to Denver and get _another_ extra hour of sleep next weekend.
Hope getting the bonus sleep twice is helpful!
