Steve Jobs on Touchscreen MacBook: “It doesn’t work, it’s ergonomically terrible”
she also “solved” learning in the job. her bots do a web research once per week to get the newest developments / trends in their area of expertise and update their instructions and routines.
really interesting to see how non technical people discover these things from first principles
so apparently the mrs cooked a telegram bot with her grok bot. I just got the invite
I have some many questions..
where is it deployed?
was cursor used?
what?..
this is cool
huge interruption enjoyer here. couldn’t be a finishcel if you paid me for it
i wish interrupting others was more socially acceptable, it literally makes conversations 10x more efficient
it's much faster to interrupt someone with a question to clarify a point of confusion vs politely waiting for them to finish
or to autocomplete their sentence when they tell you something you already know
unfortunately it's seen as impolite in society, which is a shame. i don't really care if others interrupt me, even if they try to auto-complete my sentence and get it wrong (i'll just correct them)
the best conversations i've had were when me and the other person reached this perfect rhythm and dance of back and forth of interruptions and completing each other's sentences with 95% accuracy
If you also didn’t know, you can create management tokens with openrouter.
Super handy to spin api keys up for scoped access during a sandboxed VM lifetime (or whatever else you are doing).
For my own use case, I am confident that I nailed the hand-off flow between mobile and desktop agentic coding.
90% of the tasks are dispatched via the iPhone app; for the rare use cases where I want to go in manually, I can pick up the unit of work via the menu bar of the native Mac app.
Connect via @superlogical Rex opens a new session connected to that VMs state, just where pi-durable left off.
sprinkle in some of @parzerp banging UI and I was able to delete all other coding apps from my phone.
we are entering my personal golden age
Amazon's leadership is very good at writing, but you still need to read between the lines.
What I read between these lines:
Engineers who are not "product engineers" (aka eng + PM interest) and don't like to be customer-facing will not have a future inside of Amazon

using your 2024-era neovim setup to make a one line change in your vibecoded codebase feels like this
It's incredible how fast you can go from 1% to 99% when building software these days.
The 1% that's left is taste + care
Caring about that 1% makes it so it still takes roughly the same time as pre AI to ship "something"
note: this "something" should be
1) more (quantity)
2) more ambitious (scope)
3) more polished (quality)
not caring about that 1%, going all in on speed and letting the slop make it to prod will get you nowhere, maybe you'll get lucky in the short term but I'm sure that this is not the correct move
weird times
Time to think as big as you can & spend the time you're saving wisely:
- put it into polish
- consume the right things
- meet people
- go outside
- get fit

I will leave my words here.
This led to the Cyber Armageddon this week
We found DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 beats GPT 6 Sol on our multi-step offensive cybersecurity task. Sol was tested via the Daybreak trusted access program.
We have been building a cybersecurity benchmark based on simulated corporate networks. This is a valuable indicator for the cyber-risk a model poses if in the hands of a bad actor. We plan to make the full evaluation public in the coming weeks but wanted to share our first immediate finding here.
tired: scrolling through a chat interface of your coding agent
wired: dispatching missions from a scratchpad
under no circumstances, you should be exit liquidity. always be on guard against becoming exit liquidity. are you falling for the hype? are you happily accepting your fate as exit liquidity ?

I think people will generally underestimate how much technological acceleration is directly attributable to deepseek.
Because of them, it is going to proliferate. Really, it's because of them. Thank you, for everything
indeed the perfect Sunday.
mix in working on internal tooling and replace the stake with two (double patty burgers) and we are golden
phil cooked like crazy on the UI so maybe you’ll be lucky enough to see it one day
recipe for a banger sunday
