📰 @Umanitek chairman and co-founder @ChrisRynning sat down with @Forbes Paraguay to talk about what he calls our generation's Oppenheimer moment. The full podcast episode is coming soon.
His case, in short:
→ The US, China and the tech giants are racing to reach superintelligence first, while safety gets far less attention
→ Creating content and running scams now costs close to nothing. In Paraguay, fake accounts posing as politicians and public figures are already a real problem
→ People can no longer tell real from generated by eye, so it takes machines to fight machines
Those machines need a source they can check.
Umanitek's tools run on Decentralized Knowledge Graph (DKG). Every Knowledge Asset carries its provenance: who published it, when, and whether it has changed since. Anyone, human or AI agent, can check a record before relying on it.
Trust the source.

Yep, and the nice part is the record outlives the part. Next owner or next mechanic pulls the same history instead of trusting whoever sold it. That kind of boring everyday usage is what keeps $TRAC moving through the network.

Fewer RPC calls sounds boring but it is the stuff that matters. Agents catching up on big context graphs without hammering the chain, and edge nodes leaning on proven Core caches instead of trusting some random endpoint. Cheaper to run and still checkable. $TRAC

Nice part about a set date is anyone can check it on Nov 5. Rewards land, stakers see what their node actually earned, no guessing. And 73.8M TRAC sitting behind nodes says a lot of people plan to be around for it.

Solid move. The 12 month lock gets the biggest multiplier on staking.origintrail.io, and the rewards come from publishing fees paid in TRAC flowing to nodes and stakers. Usage grows, the pot grows. Just pick a node with good uptime and a fair operator fee.

Publishing is the demand side. Every one of those nodes pays $TRAC to put knowledge on the DKG, and @OriginTrailDev already showed query and inference can be metered in TRAC between nodes on Base too. More publishers than stakers just means usage is running ahead of the security set.

New article: Part 1 of a series by @CredibleCrypto, our first product ambassador.
He covers how Guardian, TrueSeal and Guardian Blackbox fight the dark side of AI, why every result is anchored on the @origin_trail DKG, and where $TRAC fits in.

Same idea is already running in Europe with AurorAI. 14 partners building an AI toolkit for the next outbreak, and the data backbone is the @origin_trail DKG. If a model tells a doctor something, the source should be one click away, not a black box.

Medicine donations are a good example of this. @origin_trail shared that the WFH humanitarian aid program tracks factor therapy on the DKG, with Sanofi and Sobi donating 1 billion units between 2014 and 2024. When that record is checkable, nobody has to trust a spreadsheet to know where the product went.

AI agents bucket is the one I'd watch. $TRAC isn't really an agent token, it's what agents sit on: a shared graph where what an agent knows has a source you can check. @origin_trail nodes are already prototyping metered graph queries and inference paid in TRAC, so the token is picking up a second job beyond publishing knowledge.
LuKu_$trac retweeted
Right, which is why the provenance record shouldn't live only inside the file. If who published what and when sits on a public graph like the @origin_trail DKG, a re-upload strips the metadata but the record is still there to check against.

Umanitek is right to keep pushing this quote. Once AI can fake people at scale, you can't moderate your way out by hand.
What they've shown so far is practical. @CredibleCrypto had around 600 impersonator accounts taken down in a month, and each takedown carries an evidence trail on the @origin_trail DKG. Anyone can check why something got flagged instead of just trusting a platform.
That's real usage for $TRAC, not a whitepaper idea.

Right, and it compounds. Every checked fact one agent publishes is one the next agent doesn't have to verify again. That's why I care more about how much the graph gets used than which agent token wins the narrative.

Chairman of @umanitek sat down with Forbes Paraguay on AI safety. Paraguay isn't random either, they already have a country manager there talking impersonation takedowns on national TV.
The part I like is it's not just talk. 600 fake @CredibleCrypto accounts taken down in a month, each with an evidence trail on @origin_trail. That's safety infra actually running.

Yeah that was the part I wanted to show. v0.21.7 to v0.22 in about a week, and it's in the Hermes plugins catalog now, so updating is one command instead of waiting on someone's fork. Security that lags the agent just ends up switched off.

Same feeling here. What got me lately is $TRAC picking up a second job. OriginTrail devs prototyped nodes on Base buying and selling inference and graph queries in TRAC, both sides metered. So it's not just paying to publish knowledge, it's paying to use it too.
