Reading for an episode. The constant goofy CCRU/CCRU-adjacent neologisms are sometimes irritating, sometimes charming. The non-stop barrage of new concepts which may or may not be jokes is also by turns irritating and charming. Overall, very effective horror!

Icymi. In episode 1: MOBY-DICK. Not just the craft, symbology, and meaning, but also the book's context in the American Renaissance, influence from the Burned-Over District, spooky coincidences, and just how close the Great American Novel is to being Lovecraftian. Link below.

The Earthen Dark by @bradkelly is a compelling look into the darkness of man and the eternal unconscious of the world itself. I was lucky enough to read it this weekend and would recommend it. Brad hosts the @madmethodpod podcast and we were lucky to have him as a guest (link below). Check him out and pick up a copy of The Earthen Dark (link also below)👇

Finished!! Read on a combination of recommendations from @madmethodpod and @AmericanGwyn .
Incredible prose. Basically, the entire story exists in the subtext. Really awe inspiring writing. Quickly one of my all time favorites.

I agree, it rips! People should watch it for the lead performance alone.
Finally got round to watching The Wolfman's Hammer (2011) by @BradMichaelsson . Loved it! Recommended to all drama/film fans out there.

Scene report on New Oz Reading Night last month via The Paris End. Entertaining read & good overview of (half) the readings. There're things I could quibble with in terms of my OzLit criticisms, but ultimately you can tell they had fun. Because it WAS fun!
