Revenue growth of NSE 500 cos for Q1 was 21%.. when u meet managements they r upbeat ..concern is not demand ..it’s raw material, input cost.
GST, IIP nos ,bank credit reflect economic momentum. Focus on stronger balance sheets n cash flows as cost of capital goes up.

Cost of Vada paav when I was Born :25 Paisa
Today : Rs 25
Cost of Tibb’s Mutton Frankie : Rs 3
Today : Rs 335
In 45 years that’s ~11% inflation
FDs won’t even beat a Vada Paav inflation. Invest in equities .Will be volatile, give negative returns in some years but will beat inflation over long term.

This is encouraging. Some policy measures expected to attract capital flows from FPIs specially sovereign funds 🤞
Our trade deficit is over $100 Bn annually & will take time to reduce. We need capital inflows of $40-50 Bn annually as FCNR deposits will also be due 3-4 years.
This hits hard. The system failed him at every step- the dealer, the insurer, the policy fine print. But here’s what most people also don’t know: you can challenge a rejection at the Insurance Ombudsman if the modification wasn’t the proximate cause of the accident. It’s not over until you fight it.
Important -
Two things every modified car owner should do TODAY:
→ Email your insurer declaring all modifications (creates a paper trail)
→ Get an endorsement added to your policy
The premium increase is a fraction of what you’ll lose if a claim gets voided. Prevention costs nothing. Ignorance costs everything.
A young man saved for 2 years.
Bought a brand-new Mahindra Thar. ₹19 lakh.
Met with a serious accident months later. Survived — barely.
Filed an insurance claim confidently.
It was rejected.
Not because he was drunk. Not because the policy lapsed.
Because he had changed his tyres.
Aftermarket tyres. The kind lakhs of Thar owners install every week. The kind you see on every off-road Instagram reel.
His insurer said: "Undisclosed material modification. Policy void."
Under IRDAI rules, an insurer can legally reject your entire claim if you modified your vehicle — even if the modification had NOTHING to do with the accident.
No one told him this when he bought the policy.
No one told him when the dealer fitted the tyres.
No one told him at all.
If you own a modified car in India — bigger tyres, alloys, suspension lift, body kit, remap — and haven't informed your insurer in writing, you are uninsured right now.
You just don't know it yet.
Save this. Forward it to every car owner you know.
When even 60-year-olds who’ve never traded before are maxing out margin and taking bank loans for leverage….that’s not FOMO, that’s the top screaming in your face. History is littered with these moments.
Koreans have now maxed out margin on KOSPI and are directly going to banks for loans. People that are 60 have never owned trading accounts and now it’s the fastest growing age group entering to buy leveraged semiconductors. Just one article of many describing the madness.

Couldn’t agree more.
The gold monetisation angle is the most underused lever in Indian policy right now.
One number that should make every policymaker uncomfortable.
Indian households hold 34,600 tonnes of gold worth $3.8 trillion. Nearly 90% of India’s GDP. Sitting idle. India’s annual crude import bill is $174 billion.
Mobilise just 5% of that gold and you have covered the entire crude import bill for the year.
Previous monetisation schemes failed because they asked people to melt ancestral jewellery. Nobody does that. The fix is a sovereign-backed deposit structure with real interest and zero questions asked up to ₹5 lakh.
Your four steps are bang on.
Energy security and gold mobilisation are the same policy. We just haven’t connected them yet.
Gold duty hiked ✔️
fuel price hiked ✔️ ( more reqd)
4 more steps needed
-launch gold monetisation scheme. gold upto 5 lac CNA be deposited in banks & some interest to be given(amnesty)
-easy KYC for NRIs.. open bank & Demat AC in India through Video KYC
- FPIs to pay tax on residency
-reduce cost of investing in India
The harder question is what comes after.
India spends $174.9 billion on crude every year. 22% of everything we import. One war near the Gulf and we end up here. Every time.
The hike was inevitable. The vulnerability that made it inevitable was a choice we kept postponing.
To be fair. This was unavoidable.
IOC, BPCL and HPCL were losing ₹1,600 crore every single day. Brent above $106. Rupee at 95.77. The math broke down months ago. Holding longer would have pushed the OMCs toward insolvency. That would have been far worse.
The hike was the right call. Late, but right.
The part nobody is talking about is diesel.
Every truck, every tempo, every delivery van runs on it. When diesel goes up ₹5, it doesn’t stay at the pump. It moves through the supply chain and lands on your grocery bill within weeks.
April CPI was 3.48%. Watch what May looks like.
Read the last 10 days carefully.
Sunday. WFH. Use public transport. Skip foreign trips.
Wednesday. Gold import duty doubled overnight.
Thursday. WPI inflation at 8.3%. Crude petroleum up 88% year on year.
Friday. Fuel prices go up.
That is not a series of events. That is a government preparing the ground before delivering the bill.
₹3 per litre hike today. Total increase expected at ₹4 to ₹5. LPG cylinders up ₹40 to ₹50.
Four years of holding the line. Over.
Petrol and diesel just got more expensive. For the first time in four years.
This didn’t happen because of one bad day. It happened because 1,400 days of bad days finally ran out of road. 🧵
